China's poverty reduction code

author:China Jilin Net

Located in Yuanyang County, Yunnan Province, this century-old Hani ancient village is located in the core area of the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces, a world heritage site, sitting on the beautiful scenery, but it is a deeply impoverished village.

In 2018, Sun Yat-sen University tailored a set of tourism poverty alleviation programs for Argico - the Argex Plan, hoping to establish a tourism company managed by villagers themselves, so that villagers can truly benefit from the development of tourism.

In order to ensure the implementation of the plan, the Yuanyang County Government specially sent Wang Ranxuan, a post-90s cadre stationed in the village, to chat with the villagers door to door in the face of the villagers' incomprehension, to solve the problems encountered by the villagers in a down-to-earth manner, to lead everyone to receive tourists independently, and to develop Hani cultural experience activities... After more than two years of development, Argenco has achieved tourism income of more than 700,000 yuan, and the model of dividends paid by families has not only driven the whole village out of poverty, but also become a solid foundation for future rural revitalization.

On February 28, Xinhua News Agency's large-scale documentary "China's Poverty Reduction Code" was launched. From East Africa to South Asia, from Heilongjiang to Hainan Island, from Tibet to Hangzhou, although the protagonists in the film are thousands of miles away, they are all struggling to get rid of poverty. China's code for poverty control not only reflects institutional advantages, but also contains grassroots wisdom, and provides a vivid model for poverty reduction in the world. Tune in.
