Krooger, 54, is the head of systems integration, cross-domain computing solutions, chassis system control, automotive electronics, and steering in Bosch Mobility Solutions' business unit. Bosch said in a statement that Kroeger himself submitted an application to leave the company. Following Kroeger's departure, Markus Heyn, the 57-year-old new chairman of the Mobile Solutions business unit, will take over his duties.
Franz Fehrenbach, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bosch, said: "We regret Harald Kroeger's decision and wish him every success in the future. His inspiring leadership, combined with his unique ability to promote the right people, earned him the respect of many of his colleagues. ”
Kroeger joined the Management Board in 2019. The manager from Muenster, Germany, holds degrees in engineering and economics from The University of Leinster and Stanford. He began working at Daimler in 1994 and over the next 23 years he held various positions at Daimler and Mercedes-Benz, and in 2013 became Head of Development for Electrical/Electronic and Electrical Powertrains. He joined Bosch in 2017 as President of the Automotive Electronics Division.
Bosch reshuffled its leadership in June, appointing Stefan Hartung as CEO, replacing Volkmar Denner. The changes at the time also included appointing Heyn to head the mobile solution and announcing that Fehrenbach would step down on December 31 to be replaced by Stefan Asenkerschbaumer, a longtime chief financial officer.
