The "yacht capital" of Monaco, where luxury yachts gather, it is not an easy task to find a marina to anchor, especially during the peak summer months.

In June this year, the Marina Cala del Forte yacht port, which has been in place for 12 years, was officially opened to the public, and its advanced marina facilities and scientific marina planning make it one of the best yacht ports in Monaco.
The Carla Delft Yacht Harbour is ideally located in ventimiglia, an Italian border town of Ventimiglia, adjacent to France, less than 8 miles from France. Its sister port is The Port of Marina Hercules, which is prestigious in Monaco.
So the question is, why does this Italian town port have anything to do with Monaco, don't worry about it later, first understand the port's terminal planning.
Inspired by the "snail" design, the overall round shape is different from the corn wharf introduced earlier, Carla Delft only set up a floating main pier that leads from the shore to the center of the circle and extends the two piers horizontally. Fixed docks are also set up on the circular shore. The entire port is divided into large and medium yacht mooring areas and small yacht mooring areas, which is clear and clear. There are 178 berths for yachts under 230 feet.

Facilities are also in place in Cala del Forte, with 35 upscale shops and restaurants, state-of-the-art security cameras, underground parking for up to 577 cars, and check-in services for boats under 100 feet, as well as large gas stations.
Fate is bumpy, ten years to sharpen a sword
Why did it take 12 years for this port to be built? And why is it related to Monaco?
In fact, the project began in 2008, when it was still the port of Ventimiglia, the original plan was to build a port for a 348-foot-tall giant cruise ship, the unique semi-circular seawall was built quickly, but due to some irresistible factors, the project was stopped in 2013. Three years later, it was leased by the wealthy Monaco and upgraded until 2094.
Monaco has committed to investing about $94 million to complete the project by the end of 2019, for whom Fort Calafort is a much-needed investment as it is almost impossible to expand the existing two ports, Hercule and Fontvieille, and they need more berths.
Commenting on whether the operation of Cala Delfort will lead to the development of tourism in the town, Gian Batista Boria de Olmo, CEO and Director General of Monaco Ports, said: "We are not sure if this will also change the tourism industry in the Italian beach town of Ventimiglia, but the glitz and glamour of Monaco will definitely come here. ”
