According to US media reports, a 34-year-old man in the United States, Keating Shery, uses Tesla's autopilot mode while taking care of his wife Ilan, who is about to give birth.

Ilan's contractions reportedly began the night before the incident, but Elan did not believe that she was about to give birth and continued to carry out her daily life without incident. In an interview, Elan said: "I said to Keating: 'It's today, but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon'.
On the day of the incident, After Keating prepared to send his 3-year-old son Rafa to kindergarten, he took Elan to the hospital for examination, but in the middle of the road, Elan felt the contractions intensify and could only crouch in front of the passenger seat in pain. Frightened, Keating quickly turned the front of the car and prepared to take Elan to the hospital first.
Keating said it would take 20 minutes to get to the hospital without traffic jams. But during peak hours, all of this becomes unknown. So, during the traffic jam, Keating turned on Tesla's autopilot function, holding the steering wheel in one hand and Ilan's hand in the other, trying to comfort Elan. In this way, the car arrived at the hospital smoothly and safely.
However, before Elan could get off the bus, the child could not wait to be born. Luckily, a pediatrician happened to pass by and called a nurse and had the nurse cut Elan's umbilical cord.
After examining the child, the pediatrician said to Keating, "Congratulations, she's healthy." Nurses at the hospital flocked to see Baby Tesla because they thought it was a magical thing.
"Autopilot technology" has always been one of the biggest selling points claimed by Tesla, but in recent years, the vicious accidents caused by this technology have been high, and the obstacles in front of it cannot be identified, and the sudden acceleration of obstacles has been "complained" by the owner.
Previously, a Tesla Model S electric car crashed while driving in "autopilot" mode, resulting in the death of the driver. When the crash occurred, there was a large truck turning in front of Tesla. The Florida Highway Patrol Department said the deceased was named Joshua Brown and was from Canton, Ohio. It is reported that Brown has released a video of him in the car in self-driving mode. In one video, he says while smiling and removing his hands from the steering wheel.
Industry insiders said that from the perspective of the level of automation grading, the technical level is between L2 and L3, which does not have the function of automatic driving, and Tesla is suspected of false propaganda.
In this regard, Tesla warned everyone that this function is still in the testing stage, and when it is used, it "needs to be directly confirmed that this system is a new technology." He also pointed out that when the driver activates the autopilot system, a confirmation box will pop up, showing that the autopilot mode "is an auxiliary function that requires you to keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times."
