Below is my experience with it, and what I think of this version.
Mobile experience
Open the software, this time TIM provides QQ and WeChat two login methods. If you use QQ login, you will continue to enter the account password interface, and if you select WeChat, you will read the account information of the local WeChat login and automatically log in.
When WeChat logins for the first time, the system will automatically assign a number, which can be logged in on both QQ and TIM, and this account has nothing to do with the previous QQ number.
That is to say, if you are an early user of WeChat, you can log in to WeChat with your previous QQ number, and then use this WeChat signal to log in to another QQ...
The main interface of the software is divided into three parts: Information, Documents and Me.
Among them, messages are used for daily communication, which can be seen as a concise version of QQ, but TIM will put mobile phone contacts at the top of the message list, and users can directly add friends through here.
The file part is TIM's classic network disk, and the top also provides three shortcuts to native files, transfer to computer and Tencent documents.
"My" is more like a collection of functional portals, encompassing almost all office functions except for the file page. If you use WeChat to log in, there will also be a small WeChat icon after the name.
The two buttons in the upper right corner are the "Contacts" list and the shortcut menu, and the function of the menu is reduced compared with the standard version of QQ, which reduces the number of match chats and group collections. However, I think the function of group collection is still more practical (such as after the takeaway at the beginning), I hope that I can add it back later.
In the chat interface, you can pull up the function options in a random session, providing the more commonly used top, marked as unread and delete three options.
Entering the chat interface, in addition to daily communication, transfer and office, functions such as "centimeter show" have been removed, which is also in line with the tone of office-based.
When it comes to chatting, features such as voice-to-text, to-do, email, and favorites are more comprehensive. It can be said that there is no problem with daily chatting.
The chat interface natively supports the long screenshot function, and the tutorial will pop up the first time it is used. Chat history provides roaming for up to two years, with one year or less not currently requiring a membership purchase.
On the file page, you can directly create or open many documents, or you can enter tencent documents for editing. Tencent documents should be directly using the architecture of the Mini Program, which is the same experience as when entering other portals such as WeChat. But I think the functions of the two are somewhat repetitive, so I hope that the two can be more deeply integrated.
The function of Tencent Document is still as simple as ever, although some templates are also provided, but I think it is still based on simple word processing. After all, it is aimed at mobile phones, iPads and web pages, so I think the official meaning may be enough.
In addition to the QR code in the upper left corner and the setting options in the upper right corner, the "My" interface can basically be seen as an entrance collection of functions. In addition to collections and wallets, almost all other content has more or less connection with the office.
Here we can see TIM's determination to push the QQ number to the office, but we have to say that this interface lacks some beauty.
The setting this time is also as simple as ever, and does not add functions such as "QQ Talent".
PC experience
At the same time, tim for Windows has also been updated today, and the WeChat login option has also been added.

I think the big difference between the PC version and the mobile version is that the PC version of Tencent Documents will automatically open the browser, while the mobile version is in the form of a mini program. Below is a screenshot of the file and chat interface, which I don't think has changed much compared to the old version.

After about a day of use, I think the new version of Tim still adheres to the pursuit of the office and does not add much content related to QQ and entertainment.
First of all, the mobile version, "my" page I think is really not good. Although the design of large areas of white space and large squares is convenient to operate, it also lacks a sense of design. The other parts don't have many slots, and they are more in line with my appetite.
The PC version of putting the toggle button on the left is somewhat UWP apps (Windows 10 Store apps), and I think it's a bit better than putting it on top.

As for the functionality, although TIM 3.0 has not changed much compared with the previous 2.x, it still belongs to the range of relatively easy to use. If you're an office worker, or if you're dealing with some online documents on a regular basis, I'm sure TIM 3.0 will be a great helper for you.
Conversely, if you only need a relatively simple interface, QQ Express May be a better choice.
