A few days ago, occasionally in the Panjiayuan Antique Market, I saw a kiln (model) of the Cizhou kiln system of the Northern Folk Porcelain Song Dynasty, which was simple and generous in shape, with a castle-style kiln roof, bricks and mud sticking together two smoke tubes like white smoke, the lone top opened the door, the kiln mouth was built, and the red furnace fire in the kiln was burning. The whole shape is lifelike.
Looking at this kiln, a wave of emotion surged into my heart.

Listening to my grandfather tell the story of the cold kiln since I was a child, the earliest story of the cold kiln, what I heard was the loyal and unswerving love of Wang Baojun in the Song Dynasty, telling the story of Wang Baojun's bitter defense of the cold kiln for eighteen years, and finally the reunion of husband and wife.
I remember that there was also an old brick kiln in the east of my hometown village.
Listening to Grandpa, this kiln has a long history. In the past, the poor who went to Beijing to catch the exam could not afford to stay in the shop and stayed here overnight. There is also a story in the local folklore: a showman lived here and had a child with a local girl. This xiucai later won the crown, this girl took her son all the way to ask for food, into Beijing to find him, at first he did not recognize, helplessly the girl took off the child's shoes, let him see that when he was separated from the child, they bit the tooth marks on the child's feet, in the end, this Yuanlang still recognized his own child, and later this child also became a high official.
Another person who asked for food also lived here and conceived a daughter from outside the garden in the village. Forced by his daughter's death, Yuanwai Lang called this Hanako and recruited him as a son-in-law.
When I was a child, I remembered that children were unruly, sometimes drilling into the kiln to look at it, occasionally seeing men and women cuddling in it, most of the time seeing wheat straw on the ground, firewood, and someone lying down, but no one could be seen. I also remember that in this kiln, there was the impression of several rooms.
There is a man in the village named Dahei, and there is another called Dabai, and the villagers give them both nicknames, called "Big Black Is Not Black, Big White Is Not White", which shows that Big Black is not very handsome, because the countryside regards white as handsome and black as ugly. Big black has a good match, the villagers sent her to call her Big Qin, may be to xiao Er Hei marriage related to it, one is called Big Black, one is called Big Qin, as soon as you hear it, you know what relationship the two of them have, this must be a village cultured person to give them both the name of it, what are the real names of the two of them? People can't remember.
Big Black and Big Celery often ran to this old cave to have fun. Later, with the intervention of their parents, they were each married, and each had their own children, but their relationship has not been broken. During the Cultural Revolution, once the two of them were caught in a cave, the woman hung up her broken shoes, and the man knocked on the Tangluo street next to him. The two of them became "five types of elements" for a while, and the five types of elements at that time referred to the earth, rich, anti, bad, and right, and they probably belonged to the "bad" at that time! Sweep the streets with five types of molecules.
Since that time, this kiln has no one to take care of, and people passing by have encountered three emergencies, so they go in to pull and pee.
Since then, the beautiful legend has never been there again.
