The European version of the AIWAYS U5 standard edition covers white, blue and purple liveries, and supports optional black roof two-color livery. In addition, the European version is equipped with a feature-rich ADAS automatic driver assistance system, which is highly integrated with AEB automatic emergency braking, LDW lane departure warning and BSM blind spot monitoring.
Looking back at the appearance, the front face of the AIWAYS U5 adopts the closed grille design used by pure electric vehicles, and the headlights are very narrow and long and futuristic. In addition, the hood has raised lines that seem to show off its outstanding performance. The body side adopts a more boxy design, the straight line of the roof can bring a good proof effect to the space in the car, and the roof position is also added to the luggage rack setting, which can bring better sharing. In terms of dimensions, the new car has a length, width and height of 4680/1880/1680 mm and a wheelbase of 2800 mm.
The interior features a large horizontal LCD screen and a very advanced square steering wheel, creating a futuristic cockpit feel. The new car is equipped with a unique three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, as well as a full LCD instrument panel and two LCD screens composed of a central control screen, in addition to the gear shift using a knob mechanism, all the control buttons are touch-type structure.
The European version of the AICHI U5 is equipped with an original "sandwich" structure battery pack, which can be recharged through a household 220V power supply, and can also be charged in nearly 30,000 public charging piles in Germany.
