In order to change this unfavorable situation, since 2017, the city has successively put into operation three batches of shore power projects in the Zhenjiang Water Service Area of the Southern Jiangsu Canal, which can accommodate up to 40 ships to charge at the same time.
The traffic law enforcement department said that the use of shore power by ships not only greatly saves fuel oil, but also significantly reduces carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which is conducive to the development of green and low-carbon water transport. Not long ago, under the great attention of the government and the transportation department, the special fund for the fixed subsidy in the central financial budget has been paid to 9 enterprises in Zhenjiang City for ship shore power transformation plans, the shore power transformation project has been smoothly launched, and the annual task of ship shore power facility transformation has been successfully completed.
