Love is human nature

　　It is natural for people to be loving, just as it is natural for water to flow downwards.

　　In order to live according to their own laws, bees must fly, snakes must climb, fish must swim, and people must love. Therefore, if a person does not love others and treats them with evil, his behavior is as inconceivable as a bird swimming in the water and a fish flying in the air.

　　Horses have to run fast on their own in order to get rid of the enemy. Its misfortune is not that it does not crow like a rooster, but that it loses its fast running nature.

　　A dog's most precious thing is its sense of smell, and when it loses its sense of smell, it will suffer misfortune, but if it can't fly, it doesn't matter. The same is true of man, whose misfortune lies not in the difficulty of defeating a great bear, or a lion, or a fierce enemy, but in the fact that he has lost the most precious things—the nature of the soul and the ability to love.

　　It's not that a man dies or that he loses his money, that he has no house, that he has no property—all of this is not human. It is pitiful that man loses his true wealth and the highest happiness: the ability to love.
