IT Home December 16 news, Changsha Chixin Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. announced on December 15, the launch of its first UWB chip for the entire industry: CX300. This is the first UWB chip with commercial capabilities in China, which fills the domestic gap and can be applied to mobile phones, automobiles, Internet of Things and other fields.

The CX300 is a full-featured UWB chip that supports the latest 802.15.4z standards, features low-power modes, supports multi-antenna scenarios, and supports FIRA/CCC specifications. In terms of performance, the positioning accuracy can reach ±5cm under the line of sight, the goniometric accuracy can reach plus or minus 3°, and the functions, performance and power consumption indicators can meet the needs of various application scenarios such as smart home device control, digital key, and indoor positioning.
IT House learned that UWB ultra-wideband radio technology was first applied by Apple in the 2019 iPhone 11 series mobile phones, which can be used for high-precision positioning over short distances. At present, Apple, Samsung's flagship and Xiaomi MIX 4 mobile phone have supported UWB, and China has also listed this technology as an important part of the country's new 5G infrastructure.
Chi said that with the support of industry partners, this chip has a stable and large-scale supply capacity, which helps domestic UWB chip customers to provide application protection.
