Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 released: Price-friendly processors do not review

On December 16, CNMO learned that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has been released worldwide. It's a relatively price-friendly product, equipped with a 10.5-inch FHD+ display, 80% screen, four speakers that support Dolby Atmos, a 7040mAh battery, support for 15W fast charging, and running an Android 11-based OneUI operating system that provides features such as split-screen mode.

In terms of specific configuration, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is equipped with a 10.5-inch WUXGA TFT display with a resolution of 2000×1200 and a screen ratio of 80%. The tablet has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel selfie lens on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include optional 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, and USB 2.0 Type-C.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by an unnamed octa-core chipset that is said to have improved CPU and GPU performance by 10 percent. Rumor has it that it could be a UNISOC (Unigroup T618 processor) with a Mali G52 MP2 GPU. Equipped with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage, the tablet can be further expanded to 1TB via microSD card; a built-in 7040mAh battery that supports 15W adaptive fast charging; and four speakers and supports Dolby Atmos, which measures 246.8×161.9×6.9mm and weighs 508g.

In terms of price, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 3GB+32GB WiFi version costs 229 euros (about 1650 yuan), the 4GB+64GB WiFi version costs 259 euros (about 1860 yuan), and the 4GB+128GB WiFi version costs 309 euros (about 2200 yuan).

Samsung Galaxy Tab A83GB+32GB LTE model costs 279 euros (about 2000 yuan), 4GB+64GB LTE model costs 309 euros (about 2200 yuan), and high-end 4GB+128GB LTE model costs about 359 euros (about 2600 yuan). The new product will go on sale in Europe later this month and in the U.S. in January 2022.
