I have walked towards the stage many times, and each time I have a different feeling, and the joys and sorrows between them can only be experienced by myself. The first time chaotai was during the Dragon Boat Festival, and the impression was particularly impressive.
Wutai Mountain is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains, surrounded by five peaks, and although the summit is high, it is called "Wutai". The layout of Wutai Mountain is like the palm of the Buddha, the five fingers are the five platforms in the southeast, northwest, and northwest, and the palm of the five fingers is Taihuai Town. Among them, Beitai at an altitude of 3061 meters is the highest peak in North China and is known as the "Roof ridge of North China". Five different Manjushri Bodhisattvas are enshrined on the top of the five platforms, and at the top of the five platforms, there are five manjushri bodhisattvas, which are called "Great Dynastic Platforms". As early as the Tang Dynasty, monks had activities in the court, which has lasted for more than a thousand years. The towering piles of manifolds and fluttering prayer flags represent the devout faith of countless believers. The most devout buddhists often worship step by step, and their reverence for the Buddha is condensed in the worship of natural mountains.

Wutai Mountain has a unique alpine scenery in North China, all the way to the scenery, Chaotai has become a classic hiking route in the hearts of outdoor enthusiasts, is a joint pilgrimage of body and soul.
The middle office looked back at the north platform
In 2015, the Dragon Boat Festival, my first pilgrimage to Taiwan, hiking Hongmen Rock - East Terrace - North Platform - Middle Platform - West Terrace - South Terrace, is a traditional counterclockwise Chaotai, about 60 kilometers, the journey is two days.
Arriving at Hongmen Rock is about 8:00 p.m. Here is the starting point of the hike towards the platform. A group of more than ten people with headlamps and dense stars walked through the stone archway of the "Cool Holy Land" and began to march towards the east terrace. Less than an hour to the top of the Wanghai Temple, at night in the temple to hang orders, at that time the accommodation conditions were poor, in late June, the weather was over, the chase shop house was burning fire, but it was still very cold. I climbed to the top bunk, lay down with my clothes, imagined the beauty of the sunrise on the east terrace the next day, and fell asleep.

At about 5 o'clock the next day, at the top of the east platform, the eastern horizon was dyed with a faint glow. There was a gradual red light between the eastern cloud mountains, and in an instant, a little red sun jumped out of the ethereal sky, awakening the rolling mountains. Li Baishiyun's poem "The sunrise of the East Kuma seems to come from the ground" is quite romantic, while the Poem of the Qing Dynasty Song Siren describing the sunrise, "The Gate of Heaven opens the golden key according to the covenant, and the cloud road hangs a jade rainbow" is more imposing. The sunrise in everyone's eyes is different, and I would like to enjoy this brief magnificence, the warmth of this moment, and I am satisfied.

In the morning, I ate the fasting meal provided by the temple and set foot on the long North Terrace Road. Many people think that the road from Dongtai to Beitai is the most debassing, although the road is easy to walk, but Beitai is the top of Wutai Mountain and the highest point in North China. The first few kilometers are very easy to walk, and the slope is very gentle alpine grass mat. On the right side of the road is a slope valley, and on the left is a ridge with a slightly steeper slope. On both sides of the hillside are scattered with cattle and horses, the sky is particularly blue, the clouds are particularly white, under the blue sky and white clouds are grass cattle and sheep, the real feeling is to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
After passing the Fayun Temple, it began to rise, the hiking route of the Zigzag line looked a bit desperate, coupled with the high altitude, the heartbeat was obviously much faster, and you had to take a big breath when you stopped to rest. The stone archway that looks at the "roof of North China" is not far above (this archway was later blown down by the wind), but it took more than an hour to get there. The north platform is called "Ye Dou Tai", the top of the platform is very flat and large, Ye Dou Peak is 3058 meters above sea level, the highest peak in North China, known as the roof ridge of North China, there is a temple name called Lingying, the Lord offers no dirt Manjushri, worship can be pure and spotless. Standing on the north side of the platform, in the vast sky, you can see the peaks of the Hengshan Mountain Range in Beiyue, cascading, one after another, majestic and magnificent. "Will be the top of the mountain, overlooking the mountains."
Turn right and follow a gravel road down the temple to the middle platform. Along the way, you can see the two magnificent halls of the Zhongtai Dingjiao Temple, because the weather has been very clear, so the newly renovated Yanjiao Temple looks very spectacular from a distance, and the mountain-style roof is shining and brilliant. The first half of the road has been downhill, walking along the ridge, it feels very relaxed. After an hour's walk, we came to the legendary bath. In ancient times, there was a holy spring here, spraying jade, and the anointing of the gods was boiling, and people loved it when they saw it. Legend has it that people who come here to worship can also see the fluttering immortals in the sky, or see the sand gate with the tin stick, or see the blooming flowers... Therefore, people think that this crystal clear jade liquid pond is the place where the bodhisattva bathes.
After passing the bath, you will walk halfway from the north terrace to the middle platform, which sounds beautiful, but in fact the real test has just begun. It's time to start to rise again, with a zigzag path on one side and a path that cut straight up. The straight-cut path is still steep and challenging.
Zhongtai is called "Cuiyan Terrace", with an altitude of 2894 meters, the roof of the platform is full of dragons and stones, and the Yanjiao Temple in the middle platform is the highest level of the five top temples, and the two halls can be described as solemn and brilliant. The Hall of the Great Treasure enshrines the "Confucian Boy Manjushri Bodhisattva", who worships it to make people loyal and filial.
The golden roof of the Great Treasure Hall shows the momentum of solipsism, and nearly a hundred Arhat stone statues are blown by the wind and the sun, and they have not yet had time to be placed. The whole temple complex is being built, like a big construction site, and I don't reverently go to worship the golden halls (forgive my ignorance, Amitabha. But the meal still has to be eaten, and the lunch comes with a road meal, and hot water is available in the temple.
The line from the middle office to the west platform is very similar to the north platform to the middle office, that is, it is always looking at the west platform in front of it to go in a straight line, regardless of whether there is a road under the feet, the meadow is very flat, that is, forward and forward.
The Farai Monastery on the west terrace is the most rudimentary of the five monasteries, and it is dedicated to manjushri bodhisattva who roared at the lion. Worship makes one brave. The West Terrace is called the Hanging Platform, and at night, especially in the clear night sky, it is very desirable to enjoy the moon in the West Terrace. In ancient poetry, some words contain fixed imagery, such as "moon". As a natural scene, the "moon" can deepen a specific idea and thus explain the deep connotation of "unspoken meaning". Unfortunately, this time can not hang orders in the west platform, can only imagine the ancients "evoked who immortals with drunken groans, while asking the moon while pouring" romantic situation.
Leave the West Terrace, go all the way down, cut a lot of roads. The way down the hill was easy to walk, and it didn't take long to enter the pine forest and reach Kichijoji. If you continue along the main road for about five kilometers is the Lion's Den, which has always been called the road that donkeys want to walk and fall asleep.
At this time, I actually planned to continue walking, but I got the news from the leader that the lion's nest could not hang up the order and wanted to stay in a nearby village. In this way, this boring road can not be taken, both fortunate and regretful, life is often like this.
When I came to the village where I stayed, it was getting late. Cooking smoke a little isolated village, Jiaoyun exhausted the heavens and clean (Song. Zhao Changqing), this village has a beautiful name called Water Grass Beach.
The next day's journey is relatively simple, from Kinkakuji Temple to Nantai, the lowest altitude in Nantai, only 2485 meters, and there is a pine forest on the road.
I saw the cute little fox, the triangular head, the big plush tail, the fairy mountain spirit fox, the Amitabha Buddha, and the fate.
The first time I saw a beautiful flower, I later learned that it was a flower that is common in alpine meadows, called wolf poison flower.
Nantai is called "Splendid Terrace", and the surrounding slopes are full of wildflowers, green grass, and the scenery is indeed very beautiful. The temple at the top of the south terrace is called "Puji Temple" and is dedicated to the "Wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva".
The two-day trip to The Great Chaotai of Mount Wutai is over. Hiking, like the feeling of being on the road, not caring about the end of the trip, but about the scenery along the way and the mood of enjoying the scenery. But there are also slight regrets: the first did not complete the full hike to the platform; the second did not go to the Ancient South Terrace and the Ancient North Terrace.
Because there are regrets, there are also opportunities for many subsequent dynasties to taiwan.
