Shijing Temple is a majestic and spectacular Tibetan Buddhist temple located in the Longquan Mountains of the Chengdu Plain, next to National Highway 318. It was founded in 220 AD, more than 1800 years ago, incense is flourishing, there are everything you need, it is a good place for men and women, Buddhist believers to pray for protection, and visit and travel on holidays.
Arriving at the gate of the Stone Scripture Temple, solemn and sacred came to the face. The vigorous and powerful "Stone Scripture Temple, Kongo Dojo" first broke into the eyes, both sides of the plaque are Xiangyun reliefs and golden dragon reliefs, the middle under the plaque is a car passage, the two sides of the ear door is a sidewalk, two huge stone lions are placed on both sides of the ear door, behind the plaque is the parking lot, the car can drive directly in, the parking fee is 2 yuan to park casually.
Entering through the ear door, you can look back and see that behind the plaque are the four big characters of "Pure Land on Earth", and on both sides are still reliefs of Xiangyun and Golden Dragon.
This is the temple gate, which reads "Hall of the Heavenly King"
After stepping into the temple door, the statue of Maitreya Buddha was first printed into the eyes, he was kind and kind-eyed, his belly could pretend to be the world's affairs, and he smiled and greeted good men and women. On either side of Maitreya Buddha are the four Vajrayogini, with Vedic Vedic venerables on their backs.
After the first incense burner, go up the stairs and there is the Great Treasure Hall.
Above the plaque of the Daxiong Treasure Hall are all plaques with inscriptions of famous artists, and because of the epidemic, they can only stand and visit the shrine.
1300 years old ginkgo tree
Planted in the Tang Zhenguan period of the Great Silver Tree, more than 1300 years.
From the left side of the Daxiong Treasure Hall into the courtyard where the ginkgo tree was planted, two ginkgo trees were planted during the Tang Zhenguan period, more than 1300 years ago, close to the courtyard this ginkgo tree is majestic, has been thick enough to squeeze the beams of the courtyard, the other one because of the hollow in 2016 crooked, almost died, and later added steel pipe help to him, he has recovered a lot of vitality, this year also hung a lot of fruit.
Steps leading to the second incense burner
Pass by the courtyard where ginkgo biloba trees are planted, next to it are 200 steps of stone steps, and on the right is a release pond. Climb up the stairs again to reach the "Three Temples".
Continue on to the second incense burner, which is the stupa of Master Noh Hai, Guru Zhenyi, and Master Yongguang. Go up the small stone steps next to the stupa to the incense burner in front of Tsongkhapa's hall.
This is the last place to burn incense, and there are a total of 4 candlesticks, and the devotees light incense wax and worship at the door of Tsongkhapa's shop. This hall is said to house the first treasure of the stone scripture temple, the diamond sutra carved in stone.
To the left of Tsongkhapa's hall is the hall of the body of Master Chushan Shaoqi. The Zen master sat in the lion's cave, with a solemn demeanor, and after 700 years of incorruptible flesh, he could not do anything unless he was a high monk. There is a huge fu character on the outer wall of the ancestral hall, standing in the courtyard dam 10 meters in front of the fu word, closing your eyes, then turning three times, and then continuing to walk forward with your eyes closed, if you can touch "Fu", it is said that you will have good luck, many people are eager to try there, and few people succeed.
There is a stone road in the middle of the Ancestral Hall and the Hall of Master Tsongkhapa, which leads to the Ciyun Nunnery, the Guanyin Bodhisattva Ashram. The Hall of The Bodhisattva of Guanyin houses the giant Ebony Senju Kannon Dharma, which is said to be the largest ebony Statue of Kannon in Asia. It is priceless.
On the wall of the Guanyin Bodhisattva Hall is a prayer wheel typical of Tibetan Buddhism, where devotees wash their hands with disinfectant and then recite "Nam no Amitabha Buddha" and turn the prayer wheel clockwise to pray for peace.
The Stone Scripture Temple has stood for thousands of years, and the incense is still very prosperous, which is inseparable from its responsiveness and blessing of believers, and there are many examples of prayers and fulfillment around me. Come with your wishes, with your piety!
