In recent years, the Shanghai Museum has also devoted itself to the research on the origin and development of civilization in Jiangnan and Shanghai, and has continued to carry out archaeological excavations at sites such as Songze, Fuquan Mountain, Guangfulin and Qinglong Town, and officially established Shanghai's first archaeological workstation, the Shanghai Museum Qinglong Town Site Archaeological Workstation, in December 2019, and held related exhibitions.
