Taqtile announced an update to its Manifest AR on the iPad

Taqtile, an enterprise software provider that captures and shares knowledge using augmented reality, cloud computing, and LTE/5G networks, recently announced an update to the Manifest work order platform on its iPad.

According to Taqtile, strong, ongoing support for iPad reflects the company's own strategy of supporting a wide range of devices, enabling businesses to best equip frontline workers to do their jobs. With new spatial computing capabilities, workflow advancements, faster access to content, and security enhancements, on-the-job coaching on iPads with the Manifest platform provides a viable remote assistance solution for frontline workers for repairs, maintenance, new hire onboarding, and training veterans in new skills.

Taqtile adds that because of the ubiquity, familiarity, and portability of the iPad, it becomes a very valuable enterprise tool and, when equipped with Manifest, can provide AR capabilities comparable to head-mounted displays. Another benefit of iPad is the device's large screen, which provides ample viewing area for Manifest explanatory data, charts, and videos. With the latest updates, Taqtile enhances the teaching capabilities of iPad with Manifest, enabling desktop-less workers to create content, get work done, capture video evidence, and hire remote experts when needed.

Dirck Schou, CEO of Taqtile, said: "We designed Manifest as an extremely flexible platform that supports the widest range of devices our enterprise customers need to empower deskless workers. The combination of Manifest and iPad is a high-value option that leverages the devices that many businesses already offer to frontline workers. ”

Advanced features now available on iPad include:

Patented intuitive authoring that supports in-situ creation in-place on-site or factory sites, including taking photos and videos to augment the steps of the program, spatially locating markers with iPad's spatial calculation capabilities, and creating digital ink overlays;

Efficient training – training can be completed quickly, intuitively and accurately through easy-to-follow workflows;

Enhanced collaboration – Supports the integrated Manifest Connect feature, allowing employees to video chat with colleagues, share videos, and be guided by experts from remote locations. Experts can interact with the operator's real environment and place digital assistive devices, create spatial targets, use 3D ink, and provide pathfinding instructions to enhance the operator's guidance;

Safe Position Mode – Restricts video and photo functionality and can force the operator into offline mode in areas where wireless use is prohibited;

Review Mode for Completed Jobs - Added ability to review completed jobs and evidence notes (including spatial content) left by other operators;

Fault Flags – Provides the ability to flag, review, and resolve faults at any step in the program.

Taqtile's Manifest platform is now available on the AppleApp Store for iPads.
