With his bravery and loyalty, Hua Yun rose all the way to Zhu Yuanzhang's side, rising from guard to chief of the Forbidden Army, and then became the judge of the Taiping Privy Council, and later became a privy councillor.
His bravery is well known, when attacking Ningguo, Hua Yun's army fell into the mountains for eight days and could not come out, when the thieves in the mountains colluded together to block Hua Yun's army, Hua Yun charged all the way, with one enemy hundreds, killing hundreds of thieves, and he himself did not have any arrow wounds, such bravery is no one.
But no matter how brave Hua Yun was, he still lost in the battle with Chen Youyu.

The two people who left the river once again embarked on the road to join Zhu Yuanzhang, the two finally met Zhu Yuanzhang after a year, sun excitedly told Zhu Yuanzhang the situation of the Huayun family, coupled with the explanations of some people in taiping city, Zhu Yuanzhang knew the complete story of the Huayun family, he was very moved, both moved by Huayun's bravery and loyalty, but also moved by gao's chastity.
Seeing Hua Yun and gao's only son, Zhu Yuanzhang couldn't help but moisten his eyes slightly, and said, "This is the descendant of the general." Since he was a descendant of the general, he should be treated well, and Zhu Yuanzhang also gave him a name, that is, Hua Wei, and raised Hua Wei by his side.
After Hua Wei grew up, he was appointed as the prefect of Taiping and governed Taiping City, which can also be regarded as the inheritance of his father's business.
During the reign of Emperor Ming Shizong Zhu Houxi, Hua Yun's fifth grandson requested Ming Shizong to posthumously honor Gao as Lady Zhenlie and Sun as Anren, and built an ancestral hall to sacrifice. As early as when Zhu Yuanzhang was still the King of Wu, Hua Yun was posthumously awarded the title of Marquis of Dongqiu County, and built a special ancestral hall for loyal subjects to worship him.
Speaking of which, although Hua Yun died young and died in battle less than forty, he did not have time to witness the moment when Zhu Yuanzhang established the Ming Dynasty, but it was not bad that the Hua family could have such an ending.
