Bid night: West Ham United intends to introduce Phillips in the winter window, and Liverpool is priced at £10 million

Live Bar December 14 , the London Evening Standard reported that West Ham will bring in a new centre-back after the winter window opens, and they see Nat Phillips as the main target, although the Liverpool defender was injured in the Champions League last week and could be sidelined for several weeks.

With both O'Bonnar and Zuma seriously injured, West Ham urgently need to bring in a new centre-back, with Liverpool defender Phillips being the Hammers' favourite. However, Phillips played in the Champions League last week, injuring his cheekbone while fighting against Ibrahimovic, and Klopp revealed that the homegrown defender did not need surgery and was able to do some training, but it could take 4-5 weeks to return to the game.

Liverpool are expected to only agree to let Nat Phillips go with a permanent transfer and put a price tag of £10m for him.

The 24-year-old, who currently plays only fifth centre-back in Liverpool, has only made three appearances so far this season and has not played in a Premier League game.
