Innodisk today unveiled its new 10 Gigabit network card solution "EGPL-T101". Unlike conventional PCIe expansion cards, this is the world's first 10GbE 10 Gigabit network card with M.2 form specifications.
Its figure is the standard M.2 2280, which is 22 mm wide and 80 mm long, and it has become the smallest 10 Gigabit network card to date.
How is the M.2 network card connected to the network cable? It designed the RJ-45 ethernet port separately on a daughter card and connected it to the M.2 network card itself via an extension cable.
The core controller scheme is not disclosed, only that the bus is PCIe 3.0 x2, the theoretical maximum bandwidth is 2GB/s, that is, 16Gbps, which can fully meet the 10 Gigabit transmission needs, of course, it is also backward compatible with 5/2.5/1Gbps, 100Mbps and other transmission modes, and the network cable can be matched with the standard class 6 and class 6A.
Yiding International said that the M.20 Gigabit network card will be mass-produced this month, but did not disclose the price.
