Yesterday (December 13), Musk was elected Time Magazine's 2021 Person of the Year, and he talked about his relationship problems in an interview, saying that he was in a "semi-separated" state with his ex-girlfriend Grimes.

Musk said: "I would say that Grimes and I may be semi-separated and we don't see each other very often, and I think that's a long-term thing to some extent because what she needs to do is mostly in Los Angeles or touring, and my work is mainly in such remote areas."

The "remote area" Musk is referring to is near Boca Chica, Texas, not far from SpaceX's launch site. On Dec. 14, he said in an interview that he had returned to singlehood and spent most of his time near Boca Chica, Texas. Musk laughed at himself: "You know, this place is basically like a technical convent. There are some women here, but not many, and it's remote."

Apparently, the long separation led to the estrangement of the relationship between the two. But a few months ago, Musk said they still love each other deeply and will jointly raise their 18-month-old son.

Musk recently emptied all of his properties, and his last home was sold to a mystery buyer for about $30 million. At this point, Musk is officially "homeless".
