Hong Kong, 13 Dec (Xinhua) -- The "100 Years of Glory and Blessing the Motherland" concert sponsored by the Hong Kong Xiangyun Art Troupe was held at the Concert Hall of the Great Hall of Hong Kong on the evening of 13 December. More than 80 performers sang the praises of the motherland and sang classic melodies with more than 1,000 Hong Kong citizens to promote the feelings of home and country.
The concert kicked off with a chorus of songs "Lion Rock Says To Me" by 13 Hong Kong teenagers. Programs such as "Home and Country" and "Returning Starlight" were wonderful and diverse in form, winning the applause of the audience.
Subsequently, programs such as "Funeral Flower Yin", "Nobody Sleeps Tonight", "I Love You China" and other programs pushed the concert to a climax again and again. Finally, all the performers took to the stage to sing "My Motherland and Me", which ended the whole concert.
Chen Yu, head of the Hong Kong Xiangyun Art Troupe and concert director, told reporters: "This year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, and the performers rehearsed wonderful programs through nearly a year of preparation, singing praises to the motherland with a grateful heart and expressing their love for the motherland. ”
Li Lanbo, honorary director of the Hong Kong Xiangyun Art Troupe, expressed the hope that this concert can transmit positive energy to the Hong Kong society and express the love of Hong Kong compatriots for the motherland through performances.
Founded in 2008, the organizer of the party, Hong Kong Xiangyun Art Troupe, is a non-profit-making group under the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organizations. Over the years, the troupe has practiced the purpose of loving the motherland and Hong Kong and promoting Chinese music and art, actively participated in public welfare charity performances, and was awarded the Gold Award for Group and Individual Volunteer by the HKSAR Government for 8 consecutive years.
