On December 11, 2021, the Research on Chinese Cultural History and the Academic Seminar on "Feng Tianyu Wencun" were held in Luojia Villa, Wuhan University. At the meeting, "Feng Tianyu Wencun" published by Hubei People's Publishing House was officially released as a whole. It took ten years from the beginning of the book in 2011 to the publication of 20 volumes in its entirety.
"Feng Tianyu Wencun" is a set of books that have been revised and re-collected and published by Mr. Feng Tianyu's representative academic achievements such as monographs on history, culture and miscellaneous essays in the past half century. At the meeting, more than 100 scholars from universities and research institutes such as Hubei Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Department of Culture and Tourism, museums, libraries, and Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Huazhong Normal University, Hubei University, and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences spoke highly of Mr. Feng Tianyu's academic achievements and academic spirit from different angles. Han Jin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, delivered a speech: "Mr. Feng is a master of Chinese cultural history research, and viewing academia as life is not an empty word here in Mr. Feng, but a real experience. Guo Qiyong, dean of the School of National Studies of Wuhan University, commented: "Mr. Feng is good at learning, absorbs the strengths of all, and has his own outstanding insights, which is unique. Mr. Feng revealed the true face of China's pre-modern social culture and provided a relatively accurate foundation for the study of prehistory for the modernization of China with Chinese characteristics. Ma Min, a professor at the Research Center for Modern Chinese History at Central China Normal University, praised Mr. Feng for being a model for Hubei academic circles and even the national academic circles in various aspects such as human studies and moral articles, which is worthy of our eternal study.
Scholars have fully affirmed the publication of Feng Tianyu Wencun. Zhang Guangzhi, a professor in the Department of History of Fudan University, said that the publication of "Feng Tianyu Wencun" is not only of great value to the study of history, but also of profound significance to the theory of historiography and the comparative study of ancient history between China and the West. Tang Yiming, a professor at the College of Chinese Studies at Central China Normal University, evaluated Mr. Feng's academic achievements from four aspects, and commented on some of the works in Feng Tianyu Wencun as examples, and he commented that "The History of Chinese Cultural Generation" is a collection of academic works with new achievements, and is one of the most noteworthy achievements in the field of Chinese literature and history in the past few decades. Professor Zheng Dahua of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences commented that Mr. Feng's "Examination Theory of "Feudalism"" is a very elegant and beautiful academic work. Yu Donglin, a professor at South Central University for Nationalities, believes that the Spirit of the Chinese Yuandian highly summarizes the genes of traditional Chinese culture, reveals the underlying structure of the Chinese way of thinking, and pushes the study of Chinese cultural history that emerged in the 1980s to a peak.
During the event, Yao Mei, editor-in-chief of Hubei People's Publishing House, delivered a speech on the stage as a representative of the publisher, and presented "Feng Tianyu Wencun" to the organizers of the conference, hoping that more readers could access this set of works and benefit from it.
