In the summer of 2021, Paris Saint-Germain has one of the most striking transfer windows. Pochettino's side brought in Messi, Ramos and Wijnaldum on a free transfer to strengthen the squad, while Ashraf joined from Inter Milan for a high price. Danielo Pereira secured a permanent transfer deal, with exciting young defender Nuno Mendes on loan from Porto with the right to buy. In Paris, it's a star-studded team, and today Messi has incorporated a trident that includes Neymar and Mbappe. As always, they will improve the team during the upcoming window if they can. However, Grand Paris and Pochettino have confirmed that the priority for January is actually to streamline the lineup rather than increase it substantially. Any focus on players joining could come in the summer, but that doesn't mean Grand Paris won't jump at the chance to buy one of their goals if they get the chance.
Diego Lanez (Real Betis)
The fact that Lanez is likened to Messi should speak volumes about his talent, although the comparison is largely due to their current similar style of play. Like Messi, Lanez initially excelled on the right wing, often cutting inward to his favorite left foot. His center of gravity is low and can move at breakneck speed with and without balls. At the moment, Paris Saint-Germain are unlikely to buy Lanez, and if they do, they are likely to loan Lanez out. However, they are closely watching his development at Betis.
Torriso (Bayern Munich)
Transfer rumours a few weeks ago seem more likely than they are now, as Bayern now lack enough midfield after Kimmich's expected long absence. With Kimmich temporarily withdrawing from the team, Tolisso could be asked to play more games, and in the Champions League match against Barcelona, he started and performed well. Paris Saint-Germain have been interested in Tolisso since he was in Lyon, but they need to send out their two midfielders before targeting him in January.
Pogba (Manchester United)
It is now increasingly likely that Paul Pogba will leave United as a free agent in the summer of 2022. Pogba's agent, Rayola, confirmed last week that his clients would have plenty of options if he decided to leave Old Trafford. One option is considered a big Paris, and although it is more likely that Pogba will join for free, United may be forced to sell in January, provided they can get some money back. It will all be up to Ronnick to decide.
Richard Lison (Everton)
Real Madrid tried to sign Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain on this summer's transfer deadline, but they failed, and the Galactico's huge bid of 200 million euros was rejected. Mbappe is expected to travel to the Bernabeu, but like Pogba, he could move freely next summer. If Real Madrid bid again in January, Paris Saint-Germain could be forced to sell, meaning they need to find a replacement who is good enough. Richardson has been on their list for some time and he may move to Paris, but his transfer fee will exceed what Greater Paris may be willing to pay in January.
Vlahović (Florence)
Fiorentina striker Vlahović is a player destined to make a big splash in European football. The Serb has the ability to use his speed and strength to become a top attacker, but he is also a very good finisher, having scored a lot of goals in Serie A. He will be sold by Fiorentina at some point, but this is likely to happen at the end of a fierce bidding battle. Paris Saint-Germain want to participate in this bidding war, even in January.
