An ancient building with white walls and gray tiles stands quietly in Qihe Village, Sulong Street, Luoding City, as if telling the story of time, which is the national treasure Huanggong Ancestral Hall, a key cultural relics protection unit in Guangdong Province.
The National Treasure Huanggong Ancestral Hall was built in the 16th year of Qing Tongzhi Xin Wei (1871), sitting northeast to southwest, one way into four ear rooms, with a gatehouse on the left side of the wall, with a construction area of 493 square meters and a total area of 782 square meters, which is of great value to the study of Qing Dynasty architectural art.
The National Treasure Huanggong Ancestral Hall is backed by a hill, in front of the Taki River, and has a red stone ancient wharf, which is an important physical evidence of the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the National Treasure Huanggong Ancestral Hall was the former site of the Guangdong Provincial Zhongkai Agricultural Vocational School, and is now the research point of the South China Education History (Yunfu) Research Base.
