Long ears, cute expressions... Foshan Youth Cultural Palace welcomed a family of special guests today, that is, the "Dutch National Treasure" Miffy.
On December 12th, the "Harmony and Color Cantonese Color Series Activities - Miffy in Foshan" parent-child reading sharing was held at the Foshan Youth Cultural Palace. The special guest "Miffy" visited the Cultural Palace of Foshan Youth Palace, and read picture books, Miffy paintings, and parent-child costume painting shows with 80 pairs of parent-child families on the spot, opening up Miffy's children's fun world for children from the perspective of audio-visual painting performances.

"Miffy in Foshan" is one of the series of Sino-Dutch cultural exchange activities of "Heyan Cantonese" in 2021, and it is also a continuation of the "Sino-Dutch Art and Cultural Exchange of Heyan Cantonese" from 2017 to 2019. Between 2017 and 2019, Dutch artists and musicians were invited by the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and the Foshan Municipal Academy of Art Creation to exchange and study in Foshan many times, holding concerts at the Foshan Youth Cultural Palace, Nanhai District Cultural Center, Dali Guangfo Zhicheng, and participating in ceramic art creation workshops at the Foshan Art Creation Institute. At the end of 2019, Foshan musicians and artists from Foshan Art Creation Institute were invited by the Netherlands to the Netherlands and Belgium to hold more than ten various activities to spread Chinese culture and Foshan art.
On the day of the event, the children painted on the 30-meter-long scroll and drew "Miffy in the Heart", especially on the theme T-shirt, the children used the imagination to create their own "Miffy" clothes.
Looking back at this year's Series of Sino-Dutch Cultural Exchange Activities, its content is richer and more diverse, including parent-child picture book reading, cross-space audio-visual concerts, Foshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Music Collection and other activities, which not only makes the cultural exchanges between the two countries closer and closer, but also promotes the promotion of the entire event brand.
"Through similar activities, we will use culture and art to tell the story of Foshan, inherit the cultural context of Lingnan Guangfu, and use the form of exchange with international vision to work together with different cultures of various countries to create a beautiful business card of Foshan International Cultural City."
