The National Association of Chinese Schools discusses a new path for Chinese education

SAN Diego, 11 Dec (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Education Seminar of the Association of Chinese Schools in the United States was held in San Diego, a city in western California, on 11 December.

More than 200 representatives from Chinese schools and Chinese-language education organizations across the United States attended the conference. The conference set up more than 20 panel discussions on the development direction and construction management of Chinese schools in the United States after the new crown epidemic, Chinese education and new ideas and new methods, mental health, identity and cultural self-confidence of Chinese adolescents.

Qin Gang, Chinese Ambassador to the United States, sent a congratulatory speech to the meeting, thanking generations of overseas Chinese for their unremitting efforts in the cause of Chinese education. He said that the prosperity of Chinese education in the United States is of great significance in meeting the endogenous needs of Chinese Americans, promoting people-to-people ties between China and the United States, and prospering american multiculturalism. It is hoped that this meeting will make greater contributions to the sustainable development of Chinese education in the United States, the promotion of exchanges and mutual learning among Chinese civilizations, and the promotion of the development of Chinese heritage.

U.S. Congressman Zhao Meixin and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria also sent congratulatory speeches to the meeting.

The National Association of Chinese Schools was founded in 1994 and currently has more than 400 member schools throughout the United States. (End)
