Before introducing the Immortals, let's revisit the history of the murals of the Yongle Palace and the Sanqing Temple.

The Fourth of Heaven will
First of all, let's look at the "Four Generals of Heaven" in the "Chaoyuan Map".
They were the Grand Marshal of Tiancang, the Deputy Marshal of Tianyou, the General of Yisheng Black Killing, and the Yousheng Zhenwu.
These four celestial generals are in a highly respected position, because they have an important responsibility to protect the stability of the entire celestial core.
Therefore, no matter who is no.1 in the courtroom, they cannot lack their guards.
Ziwei the Great
The Ziwei Emperor, who was in charge of the north, was their direct leader, so they were also known as the "Four Saints of the Arctic".
They often served as temple protectors in the temples of the Taoist gods Jade Emperor or Ziwei Emperor, and it can be said that they were also the "Four Heavenly Kings" of the Taoist world.
Below, we will introduce you one by one.
Marshal of the canopy
The first to appear was the famous Marshal of the Canopy.
If tang monk's previous life was that of the disciple Jin Cicada who sat down, then the past life of the Eight Precepts was the Grand Marshal of the Arctic "Head of the Four Saints" who assisted the Jade Emperor.
The canopy, not only the name of the god, but also the name of the star official (Wolf Star), is located among the nine stars of the Big Dipper.
Marshal of the canopy has a high status in Chinese folk and Taoist mythology.
The marshal of the canopy has long flying hair, a head on his head, and a vicious face, showing a disguised appearance of mighty anger, holding three days of fire and an imperial bell, looking majestic and invincible.
He was also recognized as the Grand Marshal of the Eighty-first Army of the Arctic, leading 360,000 troops and commanding lei gong, electric mother, wind bo, and rain division.

The second of the Four Saints of the Arctic is the Marshal of the Celestial Yóu.
In Taoism, he assisted the Northern Emperor Xingjun, protected the people of Kyushu, and led 300,000 troops, and his main duty was to guard the underworld mansion.
Legend has it that he had four arms on his shoulders, and he held a double sword, a treasure pestle, and a bell.
Marshal Tianyou's face was fierce, his hair was straight, and he looked extremely powerful and domineering, fierce and brave.
Marshal Tianyou is one of the most splendid characters in the "Chaoyuan Tu" mural, a warrior.
In the "Four Generals of Heaven", Marshal Tianyu is the second marshal of the Thirty-six Stars of Tiangang, second only to Marshal Tiancang.
Arctic Yi Saint Black Kill General
Our next third appearance is the General of the Arctic Yi Saint Black Kill, also known as the Black Fire General.
This black-killed general was highly respected by the Imperial Family of the Northern Song Dynasty, and became the great god who protected the Song Dynasty as early as the beginning of the Song Dynasty.
It is said that Zhao Guangyi, the Emperor taizong of Song, was able to become emperor and had a certain relationship with his "reincarnation theory".
In the Song Dynasty, the Taoist priest Zhang Shouzhen, in the name of the general Heixu, predicted that Zhao Guangyi would soon succeed his brother Zhao Kuangyin on the throne, so he gained the trust of Zhao Guangyi and gave him the title of "Yisheng".
Legend has it that he once came down to the earth, and every time he crossed a river, he set a piece of paper, and from then on, these rivers were no longer flooded.
General Yousheng Zhenwu
The last deity of the "Four Heavenly Generals" appeared as the Great General of the Sacred Martial Arts.
Zhenwu is Xuanwu, which symbolizes the northern stars. Taoism also refers to it as The True Martial Emperor and the Demon Heavenly Lord (who manages the Demons of the Three Realms).
In the Heavenly Court, he was in charge of the North Heavenly Gate, and it was precisely because of his powerful magic that even Sun Wukong, who was making a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, did not dare to break into the North Heavenly Gate.
Wudang Mountains, Hubei Province
Emperor Zhenwu held a high position in Taoism. Today, the main deity enshrined in Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province is Zhenwu The Great.
In addition, he was also the third generation of Heavenly Emperors after the abdication of the Jade Emperor, that is, he was the successor of the Jade Emperor.
The Jade Emperor had great power, but when it came to mana, the Xuanwu Emperor, who was the incarnation of the Taishang Laojun, naturally had to win.
In other words, the immortals with ability are all the embodiments of Sanqing, and it seems that people also leave their positions and do not leave their jobs!
After admiring the "Fourth General of Heaven", let's take a look at the military attaches with relatively low ranks.
⭐ The Sanyuan generals were Tang Hong, Ge Yong, and Zhou Wu. They were advisors of the Zhou Dynasty, assisting three generations of kings, and died at the same time, and were made the three generals of Tianmen by the Jade Emperor.
(Flower) Flying God King, also known as "Ten Squares to True Flying God King Immortal Immeasurable God". He wears a warrior's crown, gold armor, and a battle robe, his eyes are wide open with anger, and his hands are together. His duty is to always live and die, to take care of the yin charms, and to caress the people.
At the very front of the (Moon) screen, there are four Tendin Lux. They all wore cross-legged heads and round-necked robes in red, blue, green, yellow and other colors, and stood tall.
Destroying evil spirits is a deity marked (sun), and Taoism takes Lux as the age of the fierce god, the main punishment, and the palm of killing. They are also members of the Guardian Heaven Regiment.
These four groups of deities all belong to the warriors and live on the edge of the frescoes, which shows that their positions are not very high.
Now everyone's long-awaited fairy sisters are about to appear.
Jade Girl
There are many fairy sisters in the mural, so let's invite a few to worship with everyone!
Let's first ask out the fairy sisters of the first group of Bong Bao.
Queen Mother of the West
These two immortal sisters who were blessed with treasures stood on either side of the throne of the Queen Mother of the West.
Bong Bao Yu Nu Coral Jade Girl
On the left, the fairy who holds the treasure in her hand wears a crown, has a plump face, wears a wide-sleeved shirt, a wide-wearing belt, a dignified manner, and a very gentle and elegant charm.
Coral Jade Girl
On the right, this fairy holding a coral in her hand has a rounded face and clear eyebrows. The lines of the clothing pattern on the body, the depiction of the dense and elegant, the green embroidered neckline, the appearance of a different from our Han culture (right) of the left, the overall shape is noble and rich, unique and elegant.
In addition, if you look closely, you will be surprised to find that the coral offered by the fairy sister actually presents nine bull heads. I believe that this is definitely a deliberate act of the painter.

The two sisters who appear now have their own characteristics.
These two immortal sisters are "Lingzhi Sister" and "Hairpin Flower Sister".
Emperor Gou Chen
Lingzhi Sister's position was on the left side of Emperor Gou Chen.
I saw her wearing a flower crown on her head, holding Ganoderma lucidum in her hand, with a delicate face and a sweet smile.
Therefore, she is also affectionately known as the "Mona Lisa of the East" by tourists.
Emperor of Donghua
The position of The Flower Sister is on the left side of the Donghua Emperor Jun. She is the most gorgeous of the fairies and the most solemn expression.
Jade Girl
You look at her, your eyes are like a torch, looking straight ahead, your lips are tight, the color of the sharpness is spontaneous, and you are not angry and arrogant.
Xu yes, as the most powerful jade girl who served the Emperor of Donghua, she had long been accustomed to seeing everything around her, and naturally did not be shocked by honor and disgrace.
Treasure Box Jade Girl Palm Fan Jade Girl
The next two immortal sisters are typical of "side face killing".
One of them was holding a treasure box and the other was holding a fan, and we would walk in and visit them.
The treasure box sister was the only jade girl who appeared in front of the emperor in front of him, not on the side of the emperor.

She held a round treasure box in her hand and turned her face to the South Pole Immortal Emperor. Why is that, and what caught her eye?

Even the treatment of the collar is unique, the sagging round neck, invisibly lengthening the length of the neck, making the palm fan sister look more three-dimensional and beautiful.
"Chaoyuan Tu" section
Writing here, you may ask such a question, the status of the immortals in the "Chaoyuan Map" is high or low, are they "born immortals" and also adopt the hereditary system?
In fact, in the "Biography of the Immortals" written by Ge Hong (we talked about in the previous article), it was mentioned that in the small universe of cultivating immortals, the rank of the immortals has nothing to do with the status of cultivators in the mortal world, but it is related to the accumulation of blessings.
This blessing is doing good. It is often said that a good deed is better than a day into gold.

If you have done 1200 good deeds, congratulations (you must use honorific titles), you will be ranked in the immortal class and become a celestial immortal.

In addition, doing good deeds cannot be publicized everywhere, nor can it be rewarded, and we must hold the mentality of "but do good deeds, do not ask about the future".
It seems that it is not easy to become a god, and when you become a god, you are afraid of depreciation.
