The 13th Straits Forum is ready

Xiamen, 9 Dec (Xinhua) -- The 13th Straits Forum will kick off in Xiamen, Fujian Province, on 10 December. At present, the preparations and epidemic prevention guarantee work of the forum are ready.

The forum was carried out in two ways, online and offline, inviting 5,000 guests from all walks of life such as representatives of relevant political parties in Taiwan, representatives of Taiwan's organizers, as well as Taiwan's industry elites, heads of associations, young women, townships, villages, agriculture, fisheries and water conservancy, and about 2,000 Taiwanese guests were invited during the concentrated activity.

The forum continued to take "expanding people-to-people exchanges and deepening integrated development" as the theme, with a total of 41 activities in the forum conference and four major exchange sections of youth exchanges, grass-roots exchanges, cultural exchanges and economic exchanges, and 56 activities were held in fujian districts and cities at the same time, and 21 activities have been held since June.

Zhong Zhigang, deputy director of the Office of the Organizing Committee of the Straits Forum and deputy director of the Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the Fujian Provincial People's Government, introduced that this forum continues to focus on cross-strait grass-roots people and youth exchanges. At the level of basic people-to-people exchanges, the forum held forum activities such as the Red Cross, people's livelihood meteorology, public welfare, people's forum and community governance and service around the hot issues of people's livelihood that the grass-roots people on both sides of the strait are concerned about. In terms of youth exchanges, the forum highlighted the characteristics and needs of cross-strait youth integration and innovation, further organized activities such as the Cross-Strait Youth Forum and the Cross-Strait Creative Graffiti Contest, and newly held activities for the integrated development of science and technology education in Fujian and Taiwan, the cross-strait new media development and exchange forum, and the Fujian-Taiwan Youth BusinessMen's Forum.

Zhong Zhigang said that this forum closely follows the "14th Five-Year Plan" development plan, focuses on the current hot topics of economic development, and shares and displays the achievements of cross-strait innovation and integrated development and Fujian's all-round promotion of high-quality development in the post-epidemic era. The forum will also discuss cross-strait township construction, forest health, high-tech industry docking, 5G intelligent communication between Fujian and Taiwan, energy and power cooperation, etc. At the same time, through the holding of Taiwan talents in southwest Fujian (Xiamen) matchmaking meeting, Fujian-Taiwan youth businessmen forum and exchange activities for young workers and young women, etc., to provide more than 1,600 high-quality internship jobs for Young People in Taiwan.

In terms of demonstrating the effectiveness of integrated development, this forum will hold exchange activities such as the Cross-Strait Industrial and Commercial Cooperation Forum, the Straits Financial Forum and the Taiwan Enterprise Development Summit, as well as invite representative Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises in various fields to combine their own experiences and tell in depth their wonderful stories of employment and entrepreneurship, internship and practical training, and jointly build a first home.

In addition, it will also hold folk cultural exchanges such as Mazu, Guandi, Zhuzi, Chen Jinggu and other folk cultures, such as mazu, Guandi, Zhuzi, and Chen Jinggu, and carry forward and inherit China's excellent traditional culture.

Zhong Zhigang said that in order to break through the time and space restrictions brought about by the epidemic, this forum will establish a media integration matrix of "newspaper media + network platform + video client + Weibo WeChat" on the basis of the combination of online and offline exchanges last year, introduce well-known e-commerce platforms, explore and improve online communication forms such as "cloud dialogue", "cloud tourism" and "cloud with goods", and add "Taiwan youth broadcast Taiwan goods", short video interaction, online competition answers, online and offline sitcoms, online mini games and other ways to enhance the interactivity, experience and diversity of online communication.
