The school has convenient transportation, elegant environment and strong cultural atmosphere. The school covers an area of 10,526 square meters, with an average student area of 181 square meters, a construction area of 4,282 square meters, an average student building area of 74 square meters, and a green area of 1,684 square meters, with a green space coverage rate of 16%. Brand-new teaching complex, fully functional rehabilitation building, barrier-free access, circular track, basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis table; smart classroom, computer classroom, special education resource library, multimedia classroom, subject teaching aids room, housekeeping room and other functional rooms... The school was founded in 1991, and since its establishment, it has been attached to Ximen Primary School in Jianyang District, specializing in recruiting children with intellectual disabilities in the whole Jianyang area. In recent years, the Jianyang District Party Committee and the District Government have attached great importance to the development of special education, and planned to build new high-standard special education schools so that more special children can enjoy higher quality special education. With the strong support of the district government, in January 2017, the Qiming Special Education Class was independent from the affiliated school of Ximen Primary School in Jianyang District and established an independent legal person, which was officially named "Qiming School of Jianyang District, Nanping City". A series of preparatory work for the school relocation project was carried out, the new school site was determined, and the construction of the new school site was started in October 2018. During the construction process, we strengthened the project contracting, paid close attention to the quality of the project, construction safety and construction progress, and ensured that the project was delivered on schedule. In September 2020, the school moved to a new site - No. 13, Xiaonanshan 3rd Lane, Tongyou, Jianyang District.
It is understood that the construction of the main building (teaching building and rehabilitation building) of the school has invested more than 15 million yuan. In 2020, the provincial subsidy will be 1 million yuan, and the district education bureau will subsidize 2 million yuan. The 3 million yuan special fund was all used for the infrastructure construction of Qiming School and the purchase of internal equipment such as security equipment, multimedia equipment, kitchen equipment, student language function training equipment, office equipment, etc.

The school has 6 teaching classes with 58 students. The school employs psychological counselors, school doctors, vice principals of comprehensive management, external counselors and pottery production counselors, etc., and has a high-quality teaching team. The school has 17 faculty members, including 7 graduates of special education majors, 100% of whom have college degrees or above, and 64% of whom have graduated from special education majors. All full-time teachers have corresponding qualifications, and the distribution of age, discipline, and professional and technical titles is reasonable. Among them, there are 2 senior teachers and 5 first-level teachers. Teachers love the cause of special education, embrace children with disabilities with their own personality charm and professional quality, and enlighten their minds with love, and be the guides and guides for the comprehensive and harmonious development of students.
Teacher training measures are in place. The school implements the "Qinglan Project" training plan, establishes the target responsibility system of "mentor and apprentice", pairs teachers and apprentices into practice, combines expatriate special topic learning, inter-school training activities, and masters lead the improvement of teachers' professional level. The teachers grew rapidly, and many teachers won good places in the Nanping City Competition, and three of them also participated in the Fujian Provincial Quality Class Competition with excellent results.
Funding guarantees are in place. Special funds for infrastructure construction, maintenance, and the purchase of large-scale equipment are included in the financial budget. Implement public funds for students in special education schools in accordance with regulations. The school has a high public funding quota for students, sufficient school funds, and students enjoy various subsidies such as food, transportation and boarder living. It is a big investment in sending education to the door and in the work of individualized education, which reflects the special education office everywhere. In March this year, the District Finance Bureau has issued in advance the "2021 special education school two exemptions and one supplement" subsidy fund of 516,000 yuan per student, the "2021 special education resource center" subsidy fund of 50,000 yuan, and the "severely disabled children sent to the door" subsidy fund of 30,000 yuan, all of which are allocated into the school's financial management integration system in advance.

Students' personalities and hobbies are well developed, and students have achieved good results in various competitions at all levels. In the 2020-2021 academic year, 6 people from the school participated in the first life skills competition for special education students in Nanping City, and in the projects of "quilt cover", "cooking art" and "nail button", 3 people won the first prize and 4 people won the second prize.
Students with disabilities who graduate are also basically able to support themselves and integrate into society. Lin Chunyao continued to study hard and was admitted to Changchun University. Wang Long won the title of the second "Virtue Youth Nomination Award" in Fujian Province, and in the summer of 2012, he rode from Jianyang City to Hong Kong, which lasted 8 days and traveled 1080 kilometers, setting a precedent for disabled teenagers riding in Hong Kong in Jianyang City. In 2013, he rode to the capital Beijing and took photos in front of the Tiananmen Tower.
