Controlling the spread of the epidemic Poland has strengthened anti-epidemic restriction measures

On December 7, local time, Polish Health Minister Negierski said at a press conference that the number of new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Poland in a single day is at a high level, and there is no sign that this value can be greatly improved, and the recent emergence of the new crown variant virus Omicron strain in other parts of the world is more likely to exacerbate the risk of the epidemic. In response to the increasingly severe epidemic situation, the Polish Ministry of Health has issued a series of new anti-epidemic restrictions.

From 15 December, the number of consumers in restaurants, bars and hotels in Poland shall not exceed 30% of their capacity (excluding those with vaccine certificates or those who have been certified for COVID-19 testing); the number of people in cinemas, theatres, stadiums and churches shall not exceed 30% of the capacity, and consumption will not be allowed in cinemas; the closure of dance halls, clubs and places for dancing; and on December 31 and January 1, The number of people in closed places must be limited to 100 (excluding those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19), and from 20 December to 9 January, distance learning will be implemented in primary and secondary schools.

The Polish Ministry of Health also announced that it will conduct mandatory viral testing for colleagues infected with COVID-19, regardless of whether they have a vaccine certificate or not, and will carry out mandatory testing for people entering from non-Schengen areas. In addition, Nedzyrsky also said that he hopes to implement mandatory vaccinations for medical personnel, teachers and uniformed personnel from March 1, 2022.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Poland has implemented new restrictions since 1 December, including a ban on flights from seven African countries and a tightening of the number of people in dining establishments, hotels, churches and other venues to 50% of their capacity. (Reporter Time)
