Zhu Xi's note: "Those who become successful, induce rewards and persuasions to achieve their own things." Gentlemen and villains have both thickness and thinness, and what they like and what they like are different from good and evil. Therefore, its intentions are different. "Cheng: Complete. Zhu Zi said that "seducing and rewarding" helps others achieve good things. Gentlemen and villains have different intentions in treating things favorably over the other, and their hobbies are different from good and evil, and their intentions are different. Therefore, the gentleman will be the beauty of adults, and the villain will be the evil of adults.

"Adult beauty" is a Chinese idiom meaning to fulfill someone else's good deeds or help someone fulfill his wishes. The beauty of adulthood is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. "The beauty of adulthood, the evil of not becoming an adult" embodies the consistent Confucian ideological proposition, that is, "establish oneself as one wants to stand up, and one wants to reach one's own"; "Do not do to others what you do not want".

Adult beauty is a virtue, so Confucians must have a story of "adult beauty". In the Ming Dynasty, there was a lyricist named Xie Hazel (zhēn), who was blind in one eye, and the lyrics composed were widely sung in the folk. In the winter of the first year of the Wanli Calendar, King Sun Mu personally received Xie Hazel. After drinking and talking, King Sun Mu asked his favorite Ji Jia to play and sing a bamboo branch poem by Xie Hazel behind the curtain. King Sun Mu saw that Xie Hazel listened very unexpectedly, and simply asked Jia Shi to come out to meet him, Jia Shi looked very beautiful, she sang all the lyrics made by Xie Hazel, Xie Hazel was very happy, and got up and said: "What Madame sang is just a shallow work. I should rewrite a few good words in case the government needs it. The next day, Xie Hazel offered fourteen new words, and Jia Shi composed and sang them one by one, and the two cooperated very tacitly. Seeing that the two were so opportunistic, King Sun Mu gave Jia Shi to Xie Hazel along with a group of generous gifts on New Year's Day of the following year. It is known as the beauty of Sun Mu Wang's adulthood and gentlemanly demeanor.

The above story is just "adult not yet", not yet "inhuman evil". Well, then come on with a comprehensive one. In ancient times, there was a man named Li Shang who one day bought a piece of beautiful jade with good texture in a jade shop. While he was enjoying the reward, a couple saw the jade in Li Shang's hand and felt that it was a rare jade. The woman's brother-in-law wanted to fulfill his beloved wife's wish, so he went forward to explain to Li Shang that today was his wife's birthday and wanted to buy this piece of jade and give it to his wife. Coincidentally, a fat-headed Kuo Shao also took a fancy to this piece of jade and was willing to buy it at double the price. This young master was exactly the son of Wu Zhifu, a lord who used his father's status as a mighty and blessed man, who deceived good and feared evil, and many people hated him very much. Li Shang thought to himself: This person has always done no good deeds and oppressed the people. He simply covets value, not genuinely likes it. I will never let such a beautiful jade be given to a fox and a repulsive person. Besides, the couple valued this jade so much, and they were very affectionate. So Li Shang did not accept this jade penny to the couple, and did not sell it to the young master at a high price.

The beauty of adulthood, as long as it can fulfill the good deeds of others, even if you suffer a little loss, it does not matter, such a person is of course a rare gentleman. A gentleman must not only possess the virtues of adult beauty, but also achieve the evil of not being human.

The evil of not being a human being is not helping others to do bad things, for example, a good gambler who lacks principal cannot lend him. Lending him money is fueling his vices. A man who was half-drunk and full of gibberish and shouted that he should not be fulfilled. At this time, the help is harming him. Therefore, a gentleman must have the ability to distinguish between good and evil, adhere to the right path in the face of great right and wrong without following the tide, and even if he is within his ability, he should also see righteousness and courage to prevent others from doing evil.

"The beauty of a gentleman's adulthood, the evil of not being a man." In the literature of the Spring and Autumn Period, the antonym of beauty is not ugly, but evil. The same is true in the Tao Te Ching, for example, "The whole world knows that beauty is beautiful, and evil is evil." Everyone knows that what is good is good, and what is not good is good. Lao Tzu believed that if everyone in the world was advocating virtue, they all knew what virtue was, which in itself was an evil deed. We all know what is good and that is bad behavior. Lao Tzu opposed the distinction between beauty and evil. Lao Tzu believed that if the distinction between beauty and evil is strictly made, bad people will dress up as beautiful, and we cannot distinguish at all who is really beautiful and evil, that is, we know the face and do not know the heart. And in the end, it is the good guys who are unlucky. Lao Tzu further elaborated: "If you are not virtuous, you will not argue with the people; if you are not expensive and rare goods, you will not be stolen; if you do not see what you want, you will not be disturbed." It is the rule of the saints, the heart of the humble, the belly of the truth, the weak of the will, the strength of the bones. Always make the people ignorant and desireless. The wise man does not dare to do anything about it. If there is no action, there is no cure. Lao Tzu advocated "not being virtuous", which directly negated the values advocated by Confucius and his Confucians to punish evil and promote good. In Lao Tzu's view, everything goes with nature, and only by doing nothing can there be no cure.

Daoke Village:

The beauty of adults is a gentleman, and the evil of adults is a villain.

Gentlemen also have hypocrites, and villains and true villains.
