Shuozhou let the masses feel the warmth of the petition window "zero distance"

"Thank you for your concern for the migrant workers and for helping us get back our arrears of wages." Not long ago, migrant workers from a construction project department in Shuocheng District came to the reception hall of the Shuozhou Municipal Government to reflect the problem of the construction unit's project department defaulting on the wages of migrant workers. The staff of the Shuozhou Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits received warmly and patiently reassured the migrant workers, and after a detailed understanding of the relevant situation, the staff of the Bureau promptly contacted the relevant departments in Shuocheng District and the project leaders of the units involved in the visit to coordinate the handling. After multi-party consultation, the project department of the visiting unit quickly paid more than 2.07 million yuan in wages. It is understood that as of November 29 this year, the Shuozhou Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits has resolved 20 problems in the wages of migrant workers, and paid 5.7401 million yuan in wages.

Since the beginning of this year, the Shuozhou Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits has continuously improved the quality of reception and handling of visits and the level of window services, improved the effectiveness of the work of letters and visits, and strived to create a window for letters and visits that the people are satisfied with. By actively resolving the backlog of petition cases, the bureau has made every effort to provide comfortable, warm and convenient petitioning places and warm and thoughtful services for the visiting masses, so that the masses can feel the warmth of the petitioning window at "zero distance".

In their work, the window staff of the Shuozhou Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits adheres to the principles of "urgent matters" and "simple matters and quick handling", and promptly notifies the relevant units to arrange special personnel to be responsible for promptly rushing to the scene to deal with urgent petitioning matters that may affect or damage the legitimate rights and interests of the masses and cause adverse effects if they do not deal with urgent petitioning matters that may affect or damage the legitimate rights and interests of the masses and cause adverse effects in a timely manner. By directly facing the petitioners and petitioning problems, jointly solving the difficult problems of petitioning and petitioning together with relevant departments, doing our best to solve reasonable and lawful demands for the petitioning masses, resolving the contradictions between petitioning and petitioning in the early stage, and doing our utmost to let the masses visit only once, so that the masses can come with problems and return with satisfaction. At the same time, in line with the work tenet of grasping the ideological pulse of the masses, patiently mediating contradictions and disputes, and resolving the reasonable demands of the masses, the Shuozhou Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits has solved a number of problems left over from history, including arrears of wages, in accordance with the lightness, importance, slowness, and urgency of the petitioning matters.

"The petitioning work is an important window for understanding social conditions and public opinion, and it is also a 'barometer' for testing the work status of the masses. We must always practice the concept of putting the people first, persist in the people's petitioning for the people, regard the petitioning work as an important task for understanding the people's conditions, concentrating the people's wisdom, safeguarding the people's interests, and rallying the people's will, and do everything possible to solve difficulties, do practical things, and do good things for the masses. Yang Chengqing, deputy secretary general of the Shuozhou Municipal Party Committee, secretary of the party group and director of the Municipal Bureau of Letters and Visits, said.
