Lanzhou, 5 Dec (Xinhua) -- On 5 December, the Lanxin High-speed Railway Shandan Machang Station, which is more than 3,000 meters above sea level, officially opened passenger transport business.
Shandan Racecourse Station is located in Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, which was originally a Yuexing Station and has no passenger service. In March this year, Shandan Racecourse Station started the renovation and expansion project, and built a new passenger terminal building of 1,080 square meters, 2 passenger terminals and related supporting facilities.

After the official operation, there will be a number of EMU trains stopping at Shandan Machang Station every day, and passengers can take these trains to Lanzhou, Xi'an, Urumqi, Jiayuguan, Dunhuang and other cities.
Shandan Racecourse is one of the oldest racecourses in the world. Since the Han Dynasty, this has been the official horse breeding base, huo fuyi was the first "field director" of Shandan racecourse, and the number of horses here once exceeded 70,000 during the Tang Dynasty. Since the founding of New China, Shandan Racecourse has been cultivating military horses for about half a century.
