In the same story, two people treat them differently, one faces difficulties and the other avoids disasters. This is the story of the two guts of Zhang Wei and Dongpo. They come from their leisure time, looking in detail at the lives of two once good friends. Zhang Huan was bold and careful, and he was destined to dominate politics on the cusp of the imperial court, and Dongpo was not suitable for dancing on the cliff, only suitable for practical work at the grassroots level. Of course, it is not known whether these two stories were invented by posterity according to their personalities or whether they are really unknown.
Looking at Lin Yutang's "Biography of Dongpo", Lin Yutang was very unkind to Zhang Huan, saying that he framed and attacked Dongpo. The local Taishou is also very good to Dongpo, and the courtesy is good, and the name of Su University is not a vain name, it is really famous. The scenery of Huizhou is very beautiful, and Dongpo said in a letter to his old friend Chen Yu: In half a year, the terroir and food are not evil, and the officials and the people treat each other very well... In Dongpo, who is accustomed to life at the bottom of society, he did not feel desperate to be degraded to Huizhou by Zhang Wei, perhaps because he had been mentally prepared in many degraded careers, and it was better to be happy than to be miserable.
