Jin Aizong: A tragic emperor worthy of the "death of the monarch", more worthy of sympathy than Chongzhen Jin Aizong: the death of the monarch is unashamed

Jin Aizong: The monarch died in the society, and the Emperor was not ashamed

In Chinese history, the reputation of the king of the subjugated country is mostly very bad, such as Chen Shubao, Liu Adou and the like, there are few worthy of sympathy, even if it is like Li Yu, the lord of the Southern Tang Dynasty, it is nothing more than because of his identity as the emperor of the word, that "ask the king can have a few sorrows, just like a river of spring water flowing eastward." "How many people have been in tears, and if he hadn't been able to write a few good words, how many people would have known who he was?"

Most of the kings of the fallen countries have been reviled, and among the many kings of the fallen countries, only two of them have been truly sympathized with by their descendants, one is chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty, and the other is this Jin Aizong.

It's just that this Jin Aizong is a foreign race, and the Jingkang difficulties caused by this Jin Dynasty to the Song Dynasty are the lingering pain in the hearts of my Han people, so in terms of sympathy, it cannot be compared with Chongzhen, after all, after his death, the people of the Southern Song Dynasty are celebrating the whole country, just like celebrating our defeat of the Japanese devils when the War of Resistance was won.

However, if we compare it with the actions of a monarch, this Jin Aizong seems to be more revered than Chongzhen, because when Chongzhen ascended to the throne, the situation was far from the time of erosion, but he was born to beat a good card to the ground; and when Jin Aizong came to power, the invincible Mongols were already in a burning trend, the Jinguo's combat strength had dropped to a freezing point, and it was already powerless to compete with it, and it was only a matter of time before the country was destroyed.

If you insist on talking about the "death of the monarch", you can only say the same thing: they all preferred to die rather than surrender, hanging and martyring the country; the difference is that Chongzhen was buried by the Manchu Qing people, and in order to reduce the resistance of the Central Plains of Dingding, he also played the banner of revenge for him; while the Jin Aizong was divided into two, the Mongols and the Southern Song Dynasty each got half, and Lin'an was immediately used to comfort the ancestors to show revenge.

History books generally have the function of discrediting the previous dynasty for the dynasty that has been overthrown by itself, in order to prove its own justice, but the degree is somewhat different.

For example, Tang Taizong Li Shimin, who was known as the "Prince of the Holy Ming", made the Sui Dynasty so black that people could not look at it directly, and naturally spared no effort to be authentic to his superior position, and the snot bubbles were all turned over, so that there was a "great good situation" that was now the bad of the Sui Emperor and the good of Li Shimin.

The "History of Jin" was revised by the Yuan Dynasty people who took the lead, but the author was mainly a group of Zhu Xi's re-disciples, and at that time, there was a lot of controversy over who was orthodox, because in addition to the Western Xia was not recognized by everyone, Song, Jin, and Liao were all authentic countries of the former dynasty, and finally the emperor spoke, treating everyone equally, and gave the status of Dynasty Zhengshuo.

Jin Aizong's evaluation in the "History of Jin" is very high, and the division of responsibility for the subjugation of the country is also very clear, saying: "Xuanzong Nandu, abandoning the root of the family, the outer fox Yu Wei, the army Song and Xia, the internal distress, the rapid collapse." There is no one to do in the world of mourning. ”

The meaning could not be clearer, that is, the responsibility for the destruction of the country was not on him, but on his predecessor Jin Xuanzong. And the integrity of Jin Aizong himself was also greatly praised, saying that it was "although, in the "Rites" 'The Death of the King of the Kingdom', Emperor Aizong is not ashamed." From this, it can be seen that the evaluation is not low, and it is not at all stuffed among the scourges of the fainting and tyrannical subjugation of the country.

Jin Aizong, named Yan Shouxu, the third son of Jin Xuanzong; during his 10-year reign, he actively rectified the imperial program and took various measures to revive the Jin kingdom, but he could not save the end of the defeat of the Jin kingdom, and after losing the bitter battle with the Mongols, he was chased to Cai Prefecture, and was attacked by the Mongols and the Southern Song Dynasty, and died of hanging himself after the city was destroyed, at the age of 37.

He liked to read since childhood, knowledgeable, generous and benevolent, quite an ancient style, when he ascended the throne was only 26 years old, he took over a stormy Jin Dynasty, under the suppression of the Mongols, most of the land fell, the wind and rain were shaky, and the territory occupied, the rebels everywhere rose up, the danger was fraught, and the original powerful Jin Dynasty was already in a state of collapse.

If at the time of Chengping, Jin Aizong was an accomplished emperor, he was rich and powerful, he could judge the situation, although at the time of his ascension to the throne, the national situation was eroded, he could also exert great efforts to govern and turn the tide of the tide.

Internally, he straightened up his military strength in an attempt to resist the invasion of the Mongols from the north; and by means of severe measures, he straightened out the imperial program, developed production, persuaded peasants to teach, advocated Confucianism, allowed the wise to use their abilities, obeyed the words, strengthened the law and discipline, and suppressed and used the rebels in various places, and for a while there was a situation of small ZTE.

Externally, he changed the tough tactics of the Xuanzong Dynasty against the Song Dynasty, worked hard to show goodwill and peace, and took the initiative to retreat to a large area of land occupied by the Song Dynasty in the past, in order to cooperate against the Mongols, avoid the unfavorable situation of two-front war, and win over the Western Xia, take the initiative to change its subordinate relations and improve its status, and the result of these measures enabled the Jin Dynasty to deal with the Mongols in the north with all its might.

Judging from the comparison of the strength of the Jin and the Mongols at that time, it was definitely no longer a duel at one level, but under the inspiration of the Jin Aizong, the Jin army still fought hard, and even won many victories and recovered some land, which was really rare under the circumstances at that time.

Genghis Khan died of illness and the Mongols temporarily retreated, which gave Jin Aizong a rare opportunity to breathe, but after Wokoutai inherited the Mongol Khan's throne, he immediately resumed the attack on the Jin Dynasty, and the soldiers pointed directly at the capital city, and then, under the personal encouragement of Jin Aizong, the capital city was impregnable, and the Mongols could only retreat sadly, which was a very heavy blow to the invincible Mongols.

However, these victories were far from enough to shake the Mongols' crushing of the Jin Dynasty, so the Mongols sent envoys to surrender, demanding that Jin Aizong surrender to the emperor, Jin Aizong knew that he was invincible, but he did not want to face the Mongol envoys directly, so he was ill and did not see, but the envoys were strong and unreasonable, which aroused the anger of the Jin courtiers, so he killed the entire Mongolian envoy.

This move completely angered the Mongols, so when a large army attacked, Emperor Aizong of Jin was defeated and fled to Cai Prefecture (蔡州), which is now Xincai County, Henan, on the one hand, to reorganize the army and horses and send the king of Qinqin; on the other hand, he sent envoys to the Southern Song Dynasty, hoping to use the reason of cold words and cold teeth to ask for help from the army and horses to jointly fight against the Mongols.

Song and Jin Shiqiu, the reigning Song Lizong at that time not only ignored the rescue of the Jin people, but instead sent the general Meng Gong to lead 20,000 troops to attack CaiZhou, Jin Aizong made it worse, but still did not surrender, after three months of perseverance, the grain was exhausted, the city people cannibalized, and finally was attacked by the Song army.

Jin Aizong did not want to be captured and humiliated, and after the rumors were located in the imperial family of Yan Chenglin, the Song army had swarmed into the city, Jin Aizong hanged himself, and the Jin Empire, which began with the completion of Yan A's bones, was finally destroyed after 120 years of the Ninth Emperor.

In fact, since Jin Aizong became emperor, he has always been showing favor to the Southern Song Dynasty and Western Xia, and he has repeatedly ordered that the Jin soldiers be strictly forbidden to fight against the Southern Song Dynasty, and also released all the Captives and detainees of the Southern Song Dynasty, and in some areas, he has also cooperated with the Southern Song Army and successfully resisted the Mongol attacks.

Although the Jin Dynasty lost a large part of its territory, it still retained some strength in the Central Plains, which served as a buffer zone between the Southern Song Dynasty and the Mongols, and was also a barrier for the Southern Song Dynasty to resist the Mongols, which the Southern Song monarchs and courtiers knew very well.

Once the Jin Dynasty is overthrown, the Southern Song Dynasty will directly face the attack of the Mongols, and those who have a little common sense can also be clearly distinguished, but the resentment between the two countries is too deep, and the southern Song Dynasty's top level failed to make a rational and correct judgment, after all, the shame of Jing Kang is to remember the eternal pain in the bones, so they chose to stab the Jin people from behind.

Jin Aizong: A tragic emperor worthy of the "death of the monarch", more worthy of sympathy than Chongzhen Jin Aizong: the death of the monarch is unashamed

This fatal blow of the Southern Song Dynasty caused the Jin Dynasty to fall violently, and the remaining cities and pools were naturally scattered, all falling into the hands of the Mongols, and they also embarked on a bloody war with the Mongols, and after insisting on it for decades, they also ushered in their own road of no return, Lin'an descended, cliffs and mountains fell to the sea, and the three hundred years of the Great Song Dynasty also collapsed violently.

Jin Aizong's death in Sheji, his heroic deeds are lamentable, similar to Chongzhen's exclamation before his death, "The king of the fallen country is not the king of the subjugated country, and the subjects are all the ministers of the subjugated country", he also said to the ministers before hanging himself: "I have been for Jin Zi for ten years, the prince for ten years, and the lord of man for ten years, knowing that there is no greater evil than evil, and there is no hatred in death." The ancestors of those who hate have been passed down for a hundred years, until I am extinct, and the kings of the ancient absurdity and tyranny are the subjugated countries, and this is the only one who is Jie jie'er. ”

However, we can see from the last words of the two people that their foothold is very different, Chongzhen is to blame the ministers for misleading the country, indignantly expressing the mood of "all the ministers are mistaken, and all the civilians can be killed", as for himself, he is blameless, this is determined by his personality, Chongzhen, although he has worked hard all his life, is a mean and widowed person, never bears any responsibility.

And Jin Aizong lamented that the Jiangshan that had been passed down for a hundred years had been destroyed in his own hands, and he was unwilling to become a king of the fallen country who was in the company of those Daoless Emperors, and he was deeply humiliated, which was much higher than Chongzhen in terms of artistic conception.

Jin Aizong was powerless to make up for the heavens, and his spirit of vowing not to surrender was still universally praised and sympathized by the people, and there is a very interesting record, after the death of Jin, the jin chancellor Zhang Tiangang was captured and taken to Lin'an, and the prefect Xue Qiong asked Zhang Tiangang: "What is the face of Ru here?" ”

Who knew that Zhang Tiangang replied indignantly: "The rise and fall of the country, there is no generation." My death of Jin, how is it better than the Second Emperor of Ru? In a word, the words were cursed, almost choking this prefect to death, I wanted to humiliate these subjugated people condescendingly, who knew that it was self-inflicted humiliation, compared to the unbearable death of Hui and Qin Er Emperor in the Five Kingdoms City, their Emperor Aizong's heroic martyrdom, I don't know how much higher, it is really a world of difference!

Jin Aizong: A tragic emperor worthy of the "death of the monarch", more worthy of sympathy than Chongzhen Jin Aizong: the death of the monarch is unashamed

Tianxing is not the lord of the fallen country, and it is a pity that he was unfortunate to encounter it;

Ten years of heirs are called well-off, if less lost than the previous dynasty.

This is the Yuan Dynasty scholar Hao Jing wrote an epic poem in response to him, called "Runanxing", which is full of sympathy for him, "the number of days, not manpower", from which we can also see the people's views and evaluations of him at that time, because he was really a tragic emperor created under a cruel situation.

To tell the truth, Jin Aizong was really not an absurd and tyrannical prince, nor was he a faint-hearted emperor; after he ascended to the throne, he made all the efforts he could make, but he was helpless to live at the wrong time, encountered the great situation of subjugation of the country, and had the talent to govern the country and a loyal heart, but he still could not change the festering situation of the times, and it was difficult to flee to the country.

In the "History of Jin", I have carefully read the first and second chapters of the Aizong Benji, and none of the more than ten thousand words in the foreign ocean have criticized him, but regard him as a diligent and promising politician who strives to govern with great efforts, praise him for reforming maladministration, reusing meritocracy, southern and southern Song Dynasties, and western Xia, and finally being able to achieve the death of the monarch, the evaluation is still very high, at least it can show that the Yuan people still have great respect for this former opponent.
