Different cities contain infinite novel possibilities, how can writers dig out wonderful chemical reactions from them? What kind of spark will the "twin-city interaction" at the literary level spark?
This year, Chen Qifan, Gao Yifeng, Xiang Jing, Xiao Xiangshen, Xiao Bai, Yang Jiaxian, Yang Zonghan, Zhang Yiwei, Zhao Song, Zhong Wenyin and Walk Away were invited to conduct the theme discussion as guests of the novel workshop. Gao Yifeng, Xiang Jing, Yang Jiaxian, and Zhang Yiwei were invited to serve as resident instructors of the cross-strait literature camp. One of the theme seminars of this year's Literary Camp and Novel Workshop, "The Echoes of Literature", was hosted by Walk Away, and guests such as Chen Qifan, Gao Yifeng, Xiao Bai, Yang Jiaxian, zhao Song and other guests participated in the dialogue; How to novel? ——Writing, Reading and Opinions of Contemporary Writers", hosted by Yang Zonghan, with the participation of guests such as Xiang Jing, Xiao Xiangshen, Zhong Wenyin, and Zhang Yiwei.
In November and December this year, Sprouts launched the "Shanghai-Taipei Cross-Strait Literature Camp Album", publishing new works by young Writers from Taiwan such as Lin Wenxin, Xiao Xinwei and Bao Guanhan. The first selected book of the "Shanghai-Taipei Cross-Strait Literature Camp," "The Dance of the Dove," was recently published by Baihuazhou Literature and Art Publishing House, and selects representative works by young writers from both sides of the strait, such as Xia Shuo, Cha Cha, Wu Jingjing, Nian Nian, Chen Youjin, Hong Mingdao, Cao Xu, Chen Qiuyun, Lin Yanqiu, Bu Ri Yuanyou, Li Yiqiao, Deng Guanjie, Wang Yueting, Chen Baiyan, Xu Zhenfu, and other young writers from both sides of the strait.
Xiao Bai, winner of the Lu Xun Literature Prize and a Shanghai writer, commented that in "The Dance of the Dove", "These young people who are in a language sensitive period are happy." They are immersed in words, and the words themselves constitute the narrative dynamics. ”
Chen Xue, author of the novel "Skyscraper", once summed up the characteristics of the new generation of young writers: "They tell the status quo of the times, tell the huge or gloomy trauma of the human heart, and they show how creativity penetrates the darkness, how to walk through trauma, and go out of their own way." ”
It is reported that in 2015, the first "Shanghai-Taipei Cross-Strait Literature Camp" was launched, guided by the Shanghai Writers Association, and jointly initiated by Shanghai Sprout Magazine Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Lianjing Publishing Co., Ltd. In 2016, the Shanghai Writers Association and Taiwan Lianjing Publishing launched the "Shanghai-Taipei Novel Workshop". Both events were held in Shanghai and Taipei on a rotational basis. The literary camp aims to enable young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait to exchange works and make friends; the novel workshop invites outstanding Mesozoic writers and critics from the literary circles of Shanghai and Taiwan to conduct literary theme discussions. In 2018, the literary camp and the novel workshop were jointly organized for the first time, and the mesozoic writers and critics of the workshop will serve as mentors while exchanging views and discussions, and the campers of the literary camp will participate in the literary creation theme discussion of the novel workshop.
