On December 3, Beijing time, the NBA officially announced the best player of the month in the East and West departments from October to November. The Nets' Durant was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month, the first time in durant's Nets career and the 15th individual player of the month, the last time he was elected back to January 2017. The Warriors' Curry was named Player of the Month in the West, the 10th time Curry has been named Player of the Month in his career, the last time in May 2021. NBA officials also announced that Mobley and Gidey were named Rookies of the Month, with Suns coach Monty Williams and Bulls coach Donovan voting Coach of the Month.
Eastern Conference Best of the Month: Durant (Nets)
Durant led the Nets to a 15-6 Eastern Conference record from October to November. He averaged 28.6 points per game, ranking first in the league, shooting 53.9 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from three-point range, 86.3 percent from the free throw line, and 7.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. The Nets' official photos congratulated Durant on winning the award.
Durant helped the Nets play their best first 20 games (14-6) and their first 10 (8-2). If Durant maintains this average of points per game, it will be the third-best performance of his career, after averaging 32 points per game in 2013-14 and 30.1 points per game in 2009-10. If Durant maintains his current shooting percentage, it will set a new career high.
Durant is the fifth Nets player to win the Player of the Month awards since the 1979–80 season, after Harden, Carter, Martin and Kidd all won the award while playing for the Nets.
Western Conference Best of the Month: Curry (Warriors)
Curry led the Warriors to an 18-3 league best record from October to November, averaging 27.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game, and hitting 108 three-pointers, ranking first in the league. Warriors officials also posted photos to congratulate Curry on winning the award.
Curry has won the Player of the Week in the first and fourth weeks, and he is currently the only player to have won the Weekly Player twice. Curry has become an offensive and defensive star in the October-November game, ranking second in scoring per game, ninth in assists per game and sixth in steals per game.
In Warriors history, a total of four players have won the best honor of the month, Curry has been elected far ahead of the 10 times, and the second is Mullin (2 times). Durant and Bernard King each got it once.
