On November 30, three surveyors and mappers carried out field mapping work in Huzhu County, Qinghai Province. Lost in the dark and trapped deep in the mountains, the temperature on the mountain that night was minus 14 degrees Celsius. After nearly 6 hours of late-night rescue by dozens of members of the Haidong Fire Rescue Detachment, 3 trapped people were successfully rescued. After examination, the 3 people had good vital signs, no trauma and no danger to their lives.

On November 30, three surveyors entered No. 373 Ant Forest in Feijia Village, Huzhu County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, to carry out surveying and mapping operations, and were trapped in the mountains due to darkness. At 21:13 on the 30th, the command center of the Haidong Fire Rescue Detachment received a call for help from 3 surveying and mapping personnel.

Subsequently, the Haidong Fire Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched 5 vehicles and 15 people from the Ping'an District Fire Rescue Brigade to the scene with rescue equipment, and the detachment's full-time command headquarters of 2 vehicles and 6 people accompanied the police. At 22:12, rescuers arrived at the bottom of the mountain where the trapped people were located.

The Jimu News reporter saw from the on-site video that the place of the incident was a barren mountain, the road was rough and difficult to navigate, and some of the road surface was covered with snow, and some ditches were covered with thick ice. According to the situation at the scene, the rescue personnel divided into two roads, from the north and west sides of the ant forest to the mountain at the same time to carry out search and rescue. The reporter noted that because the mountains are all deep ravines and dangerous ravines, in the process of marching into the mountains, rescuers remind each other to pay attention to safety and follow each other.

It is understood that the temperature in the mountain that night was minus 14 degrees Celsius, and rescuers marched into the mountain while looking for trapped people through shouting, telephone communication, flashlight light source search and other methods. After nearly 2 hours of arduous travel, rescuers found the location of the trapped people. Due to the long-term field activities, coupled with the influence of severe cold and high altitude, the three trapped people were physically weak and walking slowly. After a simple food replenishment at the scene, rescuers slowly walked out of the mountains with the help of the 3 trapped people.

At 4:08 a.m. on December 1, after crossing 6 mountains, 3 trapped people were successfully rescued to the bottom of the mountain. Subsequently, rescuers handed over the trapped people to their families and medical staff, and after examination, the 3 people had good vital signs, no trauma and no life-threatening.

On the 2nd, a firefighter involved in the rescue at the scene told the Jimu News reporter that the location of the 3 surveyors was found at the top of the mountain, due to darkness and low temperature, it was very difficult to carry out rescue in the mountain, and the road surface was slippery after the snow, and it was difficult to move.

"Fortunately, though, there was a signal in the mountains, and we kept in constant phone contact with the trapped people." The rescuers said that if the people could not be contacted and their location could not be found, the 3 trapped people in the mountains or would face the risk of losing temperature.
