Giuseppe Rossi, the gifted "Golden Boy", is hard to resist with a knee injury

author:Grace Times

At the age of twelve, Giuseppe left the United States to pursue his football dreams, returned to his native Italy with his father, joined the Parma Football School, and scored a staggering one hundred and thirty-three goals in one hundred and fourteen games at all levels of the echelon here. In 2004, Rossi was spotted by Manchester United and travelled to England to the "Theatre of Dreams".

In October 2005, Rossi made his Premier League debut as a substitute for Manchester United's 3–1 win over Sunderland. At United, which are quite competitive in the front, Rossi has very limited opportunities. In his two seasons at Manchester United, Rossi made just fourteen appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, contributing four goals and one assist.

In the summer of 2006, Rossi was loaned to Newcastle by Manchester United in order to have more playing opportunities. With Hick retiring, Irving seriously injured, martins and Ameobi also suffering injuries to varying degrees, Rossi's arrival gave the Magpie Legion a solution. But Rossi's performance was less than satisfactory. Played eleven Premier League games, the grain was not received, and it was reasonable to be "returned" by Newcastle. Although Rossi claims to be adapting to the British style, United's assessment of him is that he "needs a lot of game experience", and facing the olive branch extended by the parent team Parma, Rossi feels that this may be a good opportunity to exercise.

Returning to Parma, Rossi played nineteen serie A games in half a season, contributing nine goals and four assists, making Rossi the savior of Parma's relegation. Parma scored seventeen points in the last ten rounds of the league to finish twelfth in the league, with Miracle relegated.

Rossi, who returned to Manchester United on loan for just one week, was signed by La Liga side Villarell. He scored his debut goal against Valencia in the first two-division opener after joining. Rossi has since gained a foothold in Villarrels and has quickly become the core of the team's forward line. In his first three seasons with Villarell, Rossi's stats improved year after year. In the 2007-2008 season, Rossi made thirty-eight appearances in all competitions, contributing thirteen goals and four assists; in the 2008-2009 season, Rossi made thirty-nine appearances in all competitions, contributing fifteen goals and six assists; in the 2009-2010 season, Rossi made forty-six appearances in all competitions, contributing seventeen goals and three assists; and in the 2010-2011 season Rossi made a big explosion, making fifty-five appearances for Villarell in all competitions. Contributing thirty-two goals and thirteen assists, Rossi tied for fifth place in the league with eighteen goals. His hot state has attracted the attention of many giants, Manchester United intend to bring this lost pearl back to Old Trafford, Barca is also full of interest in him, serie A teams are playing the family card, Juventus and Milan are falling for it.

Between 2011 and 2014, Rossi suffered four serious injuries to his right knee. In October 2011, Rossi tore a cruciate ligament in his right knee during a match against Real Madrid and returned to the field six months later. Unexpectedly, just after his comeback, Rossi had a recurrence of an old injury on the training ground, and this time he rested for 10 months.

In early 2013, Rossi joined Serie A Fiorentina, where he briefly found his form, scoring fourteen goals in eighteen league games to lead the top scorers list. However, Rossi injured his right knee again in January 2014 and did not return until the end of the season. In August 2014, Rossi suffered a serious injury to his right knee for the fourth time in three years, missing the entire 2014-15 season.

I wrote a letter to Rossi in early 2014, giving him encouragement and wishing him a speedy recovery from his knee injury. After waiting for nearly half a year, I received an official card from Rossi for the 2013-2014 Fiorentina season, but unfortunately Rossi did not sign the official card.

Frequent injuries have caused Fiorentina to lose patience with Rossi. In January 2016, Rossi was loaned to La Liga side Levante. In the 2016-2017 season, Rossi was again loaned to Celta. On April 9, 2017, Rossi suffered a fifth serious knee injury, this time with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, which led to a six-year truce.

In the summer of 2017, Rossi became a free agent. Six months later, Rossi signed for Genoa. But after his contract expired in the summer of 2018, Rossi lost his job. In a year and a half, Rossi trained with Manchester United and Villarreal.

In early 2020, Rossi returned to the United States to join major league team Real Salt Lake City, but Rossi only played seven games for Royal Salt Lake City before returning to free play.

Recently, Rossi, who has been unemployed for nearly a year, signed a half-season contract with Serie B side Spar. In the fourteenth round of serie b, Spaar won 1-0 away to Cosenza. By the 58th minute, Giuseppe Rossi scored the only goal of the game. Esposito sent a precise cross from the left, Rossi jumped high in the middle of the penalty area to head the ball, the ball hit the crossbar and bounced into the net. It was rossi's second goal in four hundred and fifty-four days.
