The Oasis Project and the Slow Hepatitis B Clinical Cure (Everest) Project held a promotion meeting in Rong

On the morning of November 27, the China Research on Reducing the Incidence of Liver Cancer in Hepatitis B Patients (Oasis) Project Promotion Conference was held in Fuzhou, aiming to promote scientific research on the prevention and treatment of hepatitis B and effectively reduce the incidence and mortality rate of hepatocellular carcinoma caused by chronic hepatitis B.

Liver cancer is the fourth incidence in China, the second in mortality of malignant tumors, China's liver cancer patients caused by HBV accounted for 84% -92%, the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer also identified HBV as a class 1 carcinogen. The lifetime prevalence of liver cancer in HBV carriers is as high as about 15%, and the incidence of liver cancer in patients with chronic hepatitis B is 14-223 times that of non-carriers of HBV. Therefore, liver cancer caused by HBV infection will be one of the main medical burdens facing our country. The "China Research Project on Reducing the Incidence of Liver Cancer in Hepatitis B Patients (Oasis) Project" is a prospective cohort study to reduce the incidence of HBV-related liver cancer, which is of great significance for optimizing the antiviral treatment plan for chronic hepatitis B and further reducing the incidence of liver cancer in Chinese hepatitis B patients.
