vk (Yu Hee-yeon), founder and manager of fashion boutique hug. Graduated from Macquarie University in Australia with a degree in Business Administration.
You must have seen this distinctive blue background white lettering, called "hug" boutique. vk (Yu Xiyan), the founder and manager of the fashion boutique hug, established a hug shop in Chengdu in 2015, and in 2016, vk opened the first fashion boutique hug in the era of near Chengdu Ocean Taikoo Li. In the past five years, hug, which is not limited by geographical limitations, has gradually cultivated the taste and thinking of Young people in Chengdu on fashion, and also allowed VK to naturally precipitate its own style positioning.

The brand opened its second store in Aranya Community in 2018 and the third Chengdu Jingronghui flagship store in December 2020, becoming a multi-brand, multi-space, multi-experience, multi-format retail space.

Now, at the end of 2021, the three stores in Hug Chengdu have been planned, and vk has built a new home in the old alley of Chengdu that can not only settle down, but also represent personal interests.
The living room is connected to the dining room, and the high-quality lighting brought by the top floor makes the overall space spacious and bright.
In 2019, the 339 area of Wangping Street still retains the exclusive memories left by the "old industrial area" in the middle and late 20th century to Chengdu: the mengchai bay swimming pool, the Sichuan Theater Ancient Opera Garden, and the various "fly houses" opened around the carton factory, the textile factory and the family courtyard... After searching for a long time, VK finally encountered this small world that can be quieted down in the downtown area - the top floor of the riverfront apartment.
From the staircase overlooking the living room, the carpet comes from IKEA.
In the corridor of the entrance, the photographic works are purchased at the B1ock buyer shop in Tianmuli, Hangzhou, and the vintage side table is placed at the end of the corridor by the owner.
The actual reasons for vk's choice here are surprisingly simple. "It's close to my store," vk envisions, easily taking care of several stores at hand with home as a "hub." In addition, vk also likes the lively flavor of Chengdu, and this flavor can only be found in the once prosperous "Eight Streets, Nine Fangs and Ten Scenes", so VK moved to settle down in the old city.

In the living room area, the combination of matte silver metal walls and pale wooden floors highlights the owner's modernist aesthetic. The most eye-catching feature of the first-floor space is the exposed concrete beam and column structure, which has been deliberately preserved by vk and contrasts with the rest of the processed wood panels, metal panels, tiles and other materials.
On the first floor of the entrance, in the near distance is vk's usual fashion items, and in the distance, the Spanish medieval stool is from The Hodays.
Opening a shop and decorating, you have to face a variety of problems, but also have to examine and sort out your own desires, but compared to it, "decorating this home is more difficult." The existing pipelines are removed and restarted, because "I have given up a more complete property, and I also hope to get a more comfortable living experience."
Unlike the primary need of designers more than a decade ago, "the family can live in", vk pays more attention to visual beauty, storage needs, and the scale and space that people must retain to get along with each other. After getting the house, the first thing is to overthrow the original compact layout of the house and rebuild it.
On the first floor of the staircase, the sunken space on the left is designed as an exclusive square space for planting greenery, with the side table from Kar Studio and the black sound from DEVIALET.
vk boldly removes all non-load-bearing walls and "moves all that can be moved" - the small jump design distinguishes the living area and work hospitality from the boundary between "static" and "moving". At the landing of the first floor, the sunken space on the left side is designed by vk as an exclusive square space for planting greenery, creating an oasis hidden in the downtown, and paying attention to his own inner needs is also vk's primary consideration for space.
Next to the dining room on the first floor, the slender space is separated by a TV wall by vk, full of sunlight, the halo of the shutters echoes with the fine checkered tiles on the ground, and the sleeping bed design meets the needs of resting in the living room, while forming a semi-private rest space.
In the restaurant area, the white Big Will series table is from MAGIS, the paper chandelier is from the Japanese brand AKARI, and the dining chair is from the Italian brand De Castelli.
After two or three years of repeated polishing, VK, who has been nervous, suddenly found that this home seems to have naturally grown into what she wanted: the tone of modern minimalist style, and not too high and low. Whether it is the design of the staircase or the reading of the movie, the space arrangement takes into account the user's feelings - "in the end there is a temperature, but the standards insist on remain the same".
The first floor of the restaurant is lying on a bedside, the window view is an old-fashioned residential area in the 339 area of Wangping Street, and the sculpture above the shelf is from Zi Studio, founded by Liu Zi.
At the passage of the second staircase, the wall is the work of artist Chen Xiaoyi, and the chandelier is from SINGCHAN Chen Xingyu.
Moving to the space on the second floor is a small world that VK left for himself and his lover to enjoy exclusively. Unlike the view of the old-fashioned house outside the window, VK has selected many works by young artists and furniture with a sense of design for the home, and at the passage of the second staircase, the works of artist Chen Xiaoyi can be seen on the wall, and the chandelier is from Singchan Chen Xingyu.
In the second-floor bedroom lounge, the painting was created by a friend, and the MENU glass teapot above the transparent side table is from sort.
Looking at this private space that belongs to her and her family, VK suddenly finds that this home is also in line with her positioning of Hug: Heartfelt (sincere), Unique (unique), Generational (with the mark of the times).
In the second-floor bedroom, the Allibert medieval lamp on the left wall doubles as a mirror function, and the white vase and the & Tradition circle are from the sort.
In the bathroom, Rivoli's multifunctional side tables are from Classicon, Tom Dixon aromatherapy is from solt, and chandeliers are from MUTTO.
This atypical fashion man from the business department proves with his own persistence that the taste and pattern we pursue cannot stop at the present, but should jump out of time and space, to "embrace" the beautiful design of the world, and "embrace" the aesthetics and life that can taste the texture of the years.
