Liucheng Village is a "relocation village", and the old site is a geological disaster point. In the early stage of moving into the new village, the villagers changed from "above ground" to "upstairs" and from villagers to residents, and the change of identity also brought many management problems. Many villagers recalled that when they first lived in the community, the phenomenon of littering with garbage was widespread, and the phenomena of indiscriminate stacking of firewood and debris in the overhead layer, private construction of rural pots and stoves, and random pole drying were serious. The contradiction between the villagers' yearning for a new life and the crowded and chaotic living environment has become increasingly prominent, making the villagers complain.
The cadres of the two village committees could not sit still, and often held forums and racked their brains to think of solutions. Everyone brainstormed and adopted the method of "combining blocking and dredging" according to the actual needs of the villagers and the existing infrastructure, and planned the overall plan. Set up public drying areas, one household and one grid of debris stacking areas, leisure and entertainment areas, parking areas and other public functional areas, and actively apply for funds of nearly 2 million yuan, and have implemented a series of environmental improvement projects such as greening of the whole village and the improvement of firewood hot pot stoves and projects to benefit the people, and the living order of the new village has been gradually standardized. Liucheng Village has changed, the villagers have taken a step upstairs, full of happiness, and the village collective economy is full of momentum.
"Now, my wife and I have a monthly salary of more than 5,000 yuan, and we don't have to worry about eating and wearing!" Villager Deng Chengzhi works at Songguang Bamboo Co., Ltd. in Huihua Industrial Park, and what makes him most satisfied is that the place of work is close, about 10 minutes walk.
Villagers like Deng Chengzhi and his wife who have changed from peasants to workers are not in the minority in the new village. The living environment is getting better, how to make the "money bags" around the villagers' waists bulge? After the villagers moved away from the old site, they were far away from the mountain forests, land and other means of production that they used to rely on for survival, and it was no longer practical to continue to take the development path of relying on traditional agricultural planting. To this end, the party branch of Liucheng Village has changed its inherent thinking, broken through the old model of traditional rural development, made full use of the location advantage of the adjacent Huihua Industrial Park, and led the party branch to build a joint platform for village enterprises, helping more than 150 villagers to achieve employment at the doorstep of their homes and realize the transformation of farmers to workers. In 2020, the collective operating income of Liucheng Village was more than 100,000 yuan, and the per capita income of villagers was more than 35,000 yuan, and the villagers felt the obvious improvement in living standards after relocation, and their sense of happiness continued to increase.
On the basis of understanding the village conditions and grasping the public opinion, in order to build a modern rural governance system, Liucheng Village has become a party and mass service center, a comprehensive management center, and a new era civilization practice center.
