In order to coordinate the prevention and control of the epidemic and the guarantee of citizens' sacrifice and sweeping services, the 2021 winter solstice festival sweep will implement "extended cycle, staggered peak guidance, and peak reservation". From about 10 days in previous years to 20 days, the public can make early sacrifices and stagger the peak from the beginning of December. On December 18-21, the scheduled flow will be restricted on four peak festival days.
1. Appointment time
On the four peak days of festival sweeping on December 18, 19, 20 and 21, each cemetery receives an appointment from 7:00 to 16:00 every day (there are 6 periods of time each day, each time period is 1.5 hours).
2. Reservation method
Cemeteries in the city will provide free appointments for citizens through the WeChat public account from 8:00 a.m. on December 10. In view of the fact that some elderly groups will not use smart devices to make appointments, each cemetery simultaneously provides telephone appointment services and sets up green channels for special groups such as the elderly, the weak, the sick and the disabled.
3. Number of people to make a reservation
Each cemetery should scientifically determine the number of daily appointments on the four peak days of festival sweeping on December 18, 19, 20 and 21 according to the actual capacity of the unit for epidemic prevention and control and safety protection, and make reservations and guarantee services in accordance with the principles of flow restriction, time-sharing and quantity. Successful reservations can be accompanied by up to 4 relatives.
Citizens who need to be buried should make a telephone appointment with each commercial cemetery (columbaria) in advance and confirm it.
4. Instructions for ritual sweeping
Successful appointment holders shall, in accordance with the time determined by the appointment, present the electronic reservation voucher and the green code of "with the application code and health" to enter the park, and cooperate with the temperature measurement, and wear a mask throughout the process. If you need to queue up in case of flow restriction, you should keep your distance and wait patiently.
According to Article 21 of the Measures for the Administration of Cemeteries in Shanghai Municipality, "it is forbidden to burn superstitious articles such as tin foil, coins, paper money, paper ties and fireworks and firecrackers in the cemetery", in order to promote funeral reform and change customs, the city's funeral service units fully implement "smokeless sacrifice sweeping", and citizens can make sacrifices and sweeps through civilized and low-carbon methods such as flower sacrifice sweeping.
The Shanghai Qingming Festival Work Headquarters Office said that it hopes that the public will remember the ancestors through various ways such as online sacrifice sweeping, home remembrance, and on-site sacrifice sweeping, and for citizens who choose on-site sacrifice sweeping, it is recommended to travel at the wrong peak and sacrifice sweep at the wrong time, strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control regulations in the festival sweeping activities, obey the command of relevant staff, do not set off fireworks and firecrackers in violation of the law, do not burn superstitious funeral supplies, and work together to achieve a safe and orderly sacrifice and sweeping activity.
