A few years later, ShengXian left his post due to illness, and Xu Gong was promoted to the position of new Taishou, but in order to absolutely control Wu County, he wanted to persecute his predecessor Taishou Shengxian. Because people die like lights out, as long as the former boss dies, the subordinates he left behind are easier for Xu Gong to accept, but unfortunately, he was learned by Gao Dai, a famous soldier in Wu County, and rescued Sheng Xian.
Gao Dai hid Sheng Xian in the home of Xu Gong's subordinate Xu Zhao, so sheng xian escaped the disaster. Xu Gong, on the other hand, wanted to kill them all, took Gao Dai's mother away, and tried to lure Gao Dai to appear and net them all, but Gao Dai, with the help of his friends, eventually escaped.
At this time, Yuan Shu entered Yangzhou and defeated in one fell swoop, and the Zhou brothers also occupied Shouchun, the seat of Yangzhou, and Zhou Zhao, one of the Zhou brothers, was assassinated by Xu Gong on the way back to his hometown after the defeat of the army. For what reason, there is no historical data to study, but it can also be seen from the side that Xu Gong is fierce and fierce, and in order to achieve the goal, he does not care about what means are used.
At this time, Sun Ce had not yet risen, or his power was comparable to Yuan Shao's, but he did not want Yuan Shu to occupy Jiangdong, so he used the pretext of helping Yuan Shu fight against the forces of the Han Dynasty such as Liu Shu. And Sun Ce was indeed brave and quickly occupied the area around Jiangdong, including Wu County, that is to say, defeated Xu Gong, but Sun Ce spared Xu Gong.
But Xu Gong was not willing, it was difficult to do too much, and in the chaotic world, he occupied a city by himself, it can be said that he was the emperor of the earth, who could willingly give up the city, but there was no way he did not have many troops, so he went directly to Yan Baihu. And the so-called Yan White Tiger is just the king of the mountain who divides the mountain.
Unsurprisingly, Xu Gong and Yan Baihu joined forces and were still defeated by Sun Ce. But Sun Ce still did not kill them all, but let them escape with their lives and go to Xu Zhao, and this is also one of the reasons why Sun Ce let them go for the second time.
Sun Ce said: "Xu Zhao once fought against Xu Gong in order to protect the old lord, and he was a man of love and righteousness.
