Today, I want to talk to you about the masterpiece of the comic strip "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essence"

This work was created by the famous comic strip master Qian Xiaoduan and Zhao Hongben, two sincere collaborations.
Qian Xiaodao, born in Funing County, Jiangsu Province, at the age of seven, he and his father painted portraits to make some money, at the age of 16, he was introduced to a comic strip publishing agency, his works are often single-line white drawings, one step in place but can be just right.
Compared with Qian Xiaodao, Zhao Hongben studied comic strip painting at the age of 17, and within a few years of his master, his painting skills far exceeded that of his master.
It is not an exaggeration to say that the two masters have achieved the cause of Chinese comic strips.

And the "Three Dozen White Bone Essences of Sun Wukong" cooperated by the two of them is from the twenty-seventh "Corpse Demon Three Plays Tang Sanzang" in the Journey to the West: on the way to learn the scriptures, the three Tang monks and apprentices encountered the attack of the white bone essences who were good at change, and the white bone essences successively became the young girls, the waddling old women and the elderly old man to deceive the Tang monks, all of which were recognized by Sun Wukong and beat them back to the prototype.
Tang Monk mistakenly thought that Sun Wukong was killing people indiscriminately and drove him away, but he himself was captured by the White Bone Spirit.
When his life was at stake, Sun Wukong transformed into an old demon and raided the demon cave and beat the white bone spirit to death.
When the Tang monks were rescued, the master and disciple abandoned their previous suspicions and embarked on the road of learning the scriptures again.
At that time, our teacher told us: Watching "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essences" tells us that we must recognize the situation, and we must catch the bad guys, and we must not be lost by the bad guys' rhetoric and gorgeous dress.
At that time, we all thought that Tang Monk was a relatively stupid person, but in today's parlance, Tang Monk was a bodhisattva who did not want to see killing.
In 1960, Zhao Hongben received the script "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essences", and his first thought was to cooperate with Qian Xiaoduan. Zhao Hongben is good at creating the image of Sun Wukong, while Qian Xiaodao's creation of female figures and line outlines are a must.
This work is meticulous and conscientious in the portrayal of characters, and its exquisite brushwork depicts a fierce and evil as a vendetta, unswerving, fire-eyed, and seventy-two changes of Sun Wukong as a vivid and vivid, flesh-and-blood, courageous resistance, seeing evil must be eliminated, eliminating evil must be exhausted, and it is inevitable to obtain special honors.
Definitely the Sun Wukong in all of us.
The comic strip "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essences" created by the two people is called a masterpiece of a landmark excellent comic strip.
The two gave full play to their expertise, imagination and creativity, whether it is in character shaping, position structure, dense intervals, and the relationship between the guest and the host of the characters, they all played just right. The picture is dynamic and static, the lines are strong and graceful, the brushwork moves with rhyme, the rotation is rhythmic, although deliberately pursued, it is not pretentious, the clothing pattern organization and the mountain stone method have a strong and simple flavor, which sets off the dynamic of flying, profoundly expresses the theme, and makes the work have a strong appeal.

The work continued to be created from the autumn of 1960 to June 1962, and it took a year and a half for the 110 works to finalize. (Look at how much effort people have made to make the future of the motherland understand comic strips) How much hardship and hardship are there? How much blood and sweat is involved? Only they themselves know that their serious attitude towards the creation of their works makes the painters who are now pretending to be artists... Shiver
As soon as the comic strip "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essences" was published and listed, it really lived up to expectations and was reborn and refreshing.
After this comic strip won the first prize of the first national comic strip painting in 1963, "Sun Wukong Three Dozen White Bone Essences" was serialized in People's China magazine and translated into English, Japanese, German, French and other languages for external distribution.
Sadly: two artists have left us.
20 years later, the CCTV version of "Journey to the West" began filming, and the composition and character images created by the TV version of "Journey to the West" were closely related to the final version of the "Journey to the West" comic strip.
In some scene settings and character settings, television borrows the idea of comic strips, leaving an indelible impression on the world and influencing generations.

What surprised me when I watched the TV series "Journey to the West" was that Bai Bonejing was played by Yang Chunxia, a Peking Opera actress I particularly liked, because she had always been the image of Ke Xiang, the party representative, in my heart, so I felt that it was inappropriate for her to play Bai Bonejing, I did not accept it at that time, and now I am not willing to accept it. Over the years, I have been in contact with Ms. Yang Chunxia, and I wish her good health and a long life.
