Paul Celan: A painful and magnificent life

Looking back at the influence of foreign literature on Chinese literature, two Jews have to mention – Kafka and Paul Zelan. The poet Yang Zi began by introducing Paul Celan's growth experience, describing Celan's life as "a painful but magnificent life". He pointed out that the "late" that appears many times in Celan's poems means "late" and "late", reflecting his painful psychological state.

The poet Ling Yue believes that Celan's pain comes from three aspects: one is the pain of being a Jew, which is the most direct and most damaging factor, following Celan's life like a nightmare; the second is depression, in the era when Celan lived, the treatment method of depression was immature, and the treatment method of electroconvulsion brought double physical and mental harm to Celan; third, his poetry was accused of plagiarism.

Suffering from the Nazi slaughter of Jews, hostility to the German-speaking world, and the difficulty of identifying as a Jewish writer writing in German, Celan suffered from mental illness in his later years and eventually committed suicide. His life, his "obscure" poetry, his tragic heart, and even his death will be placed in this painful and confusing context.

Poetry of Experience: The Mysterious Code of Verses

Celan was a courageous and original poet: he did not succumb to the violence of history, nor did he appeal to the overwhelming concern of the post-war German-speaking literary community with social problems, or the demands imposed on a poet in the name of the "majority". He particularly emphasized that his poems were his experiences, and his verses were often obscure and broken, like mysterious codes, calm and deep.

Based on this, when the poet Yang Zi translated Therarain's poems, he paid special attention to the psychological state of Celan's lifelong suffering. In the translation of "Gentile", in Celan's original text is "Friend", YangZi translated it as "Gentile", intended to better express Celan's current painful psychological state, he believes that only the expression of "Gentile" is enough to express a mental state of all of Celan's works: fear, this is the most imprinted place of the times in Celan's poetry, his panic did not disappear because of the end of World War II and the crushing of the Nazis, and was deeply influenced by Kafka's creation, this kind of fragmentation, stuttering, The style of language that swallows and talks is vividly reflected in Celan's poetry.

In addition, Yang Zi also mentioned the translation of "Master" in Celan's poetry, many translators who translate Celan's poems translate as "master", and Yang Zi's substitution of "master" and translation of it as "master" also reflects his differences from other translators. It also reflects the challenges posed to contemporary translators by Paul Celan's short, difficult and ruptured poetic style.

Regarding Celan's poetry of late language rupture, poet Ling Yue said that many contemporary poets have also learned and applied this rupture to their own poetry creations in pursuit of creating tension for poetry. But Ling Yue believes that in addition to the influence of depression, the rupture of Celan's poetic language is also his sense of humiliation and hatred for learning German as a Jew, and he wants to destroy the grafting of German from within. All these interpretations reflect the mystery and uniqueness of Celan's poem.

Peruse Celan's poetry and taste the poet's charm

In order to help readers better enter the inner world of Paul Celan and read Celan's poems, the poet Yang Zi recited and interpreted celan's three poems for readers on the spot, namely "Remembering France", "Corona" and "Counting Almonds".

In "Memories of France", Mr. Yang Zi told the story behind his translation. In the poem "We go to sell the flower girl that buys a heart-shaped garland", Teacher Yang Zi said that the translation is "buy a heart-shaped garland" instead of "buying a heart" in order to eliminate the stimulating aspects of the poem, and the poet Ling Yue also said that reading Teacher Yang Zi's translation has a fresh feeling. Each reader and translator has a different understanding and feeling of Li Lan, which also makes the poetry charming.

"Corona" is a love poem written by Celan to his lover Bachmann, through which he shows their love to the "Gentiles". Beginning with Counting Almonds, the "almond" as a symbol of the Jewish woman's eyes appears several times in Celan's poems.

Emily Brontë: Novelist who writes poetry

Emily Brontë is a 19th-century English writer and poet, one of the famous Brontë Sisters, and the author of the world literary masterpiece Wuthering Heights. The work was the only novel of Emily Brontë's life and established her place in the history of English literature as well as in the history of world literature. In addition, she wrote 193 poems and is considered a talented female writer in Britain. She is independent, open-minded, innocent, determined, passionate and introverted. She is quite a man, loves the wasteland where she grew up, and pingsu is in the middle of the group, in addition to brotherhood, she likes to be friends with nature the most.

Emily's writing began with poetry, and she wrote a series of study poems in the sixteen or seven years before she began to write Wuthering Heights. Brontë wrote poetry based on imagination and passion, without any social experience, but used poetry to build a grand Gundar Empire. Her verses are rigorous, resolute, rugged, and passionate. Brontë lived in a boudoir, with only wilderness and sisters, thin and sickly, and died of tuberculosis at the age of thirty. From her poems and her life's actions, they are all manifestations of her cosmology and outlook on life, and some people regard her as a mystic.

The dilemma of women's creation

There are different dilemmas in women's writing in different eras, and the poet Du Lulu said that unlike today's era, in the era in which Brontë lived, women's writing was questioned, and this year Bront's Chinese poems were published in China, and she was very pleased that she was also a woman. The poet Ling Yue said that "Brontë is to use the gap in housework to create", which is a very remarkable and great thing for Brontë to be able to create a long novel "Wuthering Heights" and many poems full of power in an era when there was no convenient housework machine and heavy housework.

Dramatic creation: an imaginer without any social "experience"

Because Emily's life experience is short, she has neither a complete systematic education nor the actual experience of love marriage, people are also puzzled that she can write such a profound and unique love song as "Wuthering Heights". Since childhood, the Brontë sisters have encouraged each other, interacted with each other, and took pleasure in reading and writing, which greatly diluted the suffering of material scarcity and also cultivated and exercised their writing skills. Ling Yue said that drama is the biggest feature of Brontë's poetry. And what is experience? It is not necessary to go through love and systematic education to gain experience. The Gundar Empire created in Brontë's poetry originates from the Bed play play played by the three Brontë sisters when they were children, and the three children played twelve soldiers into several empires, so the poem contains a lot of love and hatred, girlish feelings, and life and death that are pinned on the characters. She wrote Wuthering Heights as a continuation of her poetry. And her poems, sincere, majestic, rugged, deep and tall, this is also the style of "Wuthering Heights".
