Nearly 100 sets of "Dream of the Red Chamber" in my collection

I have talked about eight manuscripts of "Dream of the Red Chamber" above, and today I will talk about the "Fat Commentary" published in modern times.

What is a Lipid Review? In short, it is the annotated version of Li Yanzhai, which is the version of "Dream of the Red Chamber" that best fits Cao Xueqin's thoughts.

Who is Li Yan Zhai? No one knows.

Some people think that it is Cao Xueqin's friend's in-law Yu Rui, some people think that it is the prototype of Shi Xiangyun, some people think that it is Cao Xueqin's wife, some people think that it is Cao Xueqin's brother, some people think that it is Cao Fu (Cao Xueqin's uncle, one says father), etc., and even some people say that it is Qianlong.

The common feature of many lipograms is obvious - a large number of scarlet criticisms have been preserved, and some of the important copied versions are also inscribed with the words "The Record of the Reappraisal of the Stones of Fat Yan Zhai".

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, novels reached their peak and book reviews became popular. For example, Jin Sheng sighed and commented on "Water Margin" and "West Chamber", Mao Zonggang's father and son repaired and usurped "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", and Zhang Zhupo's pen cut "Golden Bottle Plum". Book reviews are not only the critics' understanding of the content of the novel and the appreciation of the text, but also the supplement and recreation of the overall structure of the novel.

Therefore, the Red Chamber with comments reads more charming.

Deng Suifu's "Reappraisal of the Stone Record Jia Shu Schoolbook"

Let's start with my collection of "Li Yan Zhai Reappraisal of the Stone Record Gengchen Ben Schoolbook", which was published by the Writers Publishing House and is very famous among red fans, and the reviser is Deng Suifu.

This set of books is a total of four volumes, and has not yet been republished, so the current price is high, the paperback version is more than 200 oceans, and the hardcover version is even rarer, the minimum also needs 2000 oceans.

Deng Suifu, from a middle school graduate to a contemporary famous scholar and red scholar, is a strange person.

In 2000, Deng Suifu launched the "Li Yan Zhai Re-evaluation Stone Record Jia Shu SchoolBook", and in April 2006, he completed the larger "Fat Yan Zhai Re-evaluation Stone Ji Gengchen School Book". He single-handedly completed the revision of two major editions of the Lipogram, which lasted twenty years, back and forth, intermittently.

Such a huge and time-consuming revision work was done by himself in his own study. His study was called "Shi Meng Zhai". When I have a dream, I have to chase it, which is what he inspired me.

Let's talk about the "Dream of the Red Chamber" published by Yuelu Book Club, which was published in 2011 and is a gospel for red fans.

The so-called Lipid Book, as the name suggests, brings together most of the Lipid Yanzhai Annotations, which is very good. However, for commercial purposes, it seems inappropriate to move all the messy criticisms on manuscripts such as the Qi Preface without screening.

The reason why Yuelu Book Club is in a second-rate publishing house is because the style is not rigorous enough after all.

But this book is good in terms of cheap and good quality - hardcover, two-color printing, black characters in the body, red characters for annotations, and two 50 oceans are basically available.

The following is the popular "Dream of the Red Chamber Fat Review SchoolBook" in recent years, a total of three volumes and 80 times, published by the Ten Thousand Volumes Publishing Company in 2013, the fat batch or red or black, according to the color of the original manuscript, Wu Mingen, the schoolmaster.

Wu Mingen's experience tells us that ordinary people can become red scientists as long as they work hard.

He was a cadre at the Chaozhou Tobacco Bureau, and in the mid-1970s, teenage Wu Ming'en came into contact with the first book, Dream of the Red Chamber, published by the People's Literature Publishing House in 1973.

Since then, he has had the dream of learning red, applied for a personal homepage online, and named it "Fuqinju". Post the world famous poems and articles related to "Dream of the Red Chamber" that you have searched for on the homepage and share them with other enthusiasts.

After 2003, he began to use his spare time to organize and proofread "Dream of the Red Chamber" with reference to authoritative proofreading, make an electronic text and put it on the Internet, and then included various lipograms in the electronic book.

Ten years later, the book was officially published.

Because this book has been circulated on the Internet in the form of electronic versions for many years, it has been corrected by various red fans in the process of circulation, so as to continuously process and improve, and the text error has been minimized. Therefore, the "Red Chamber Dream Fat Review Schoolbook" that is now printed is one of the more mature and popular versions of the public.

Since its publication, "Commenting on the Dream of the Red Chamber" has been regarded as one of the classic editions of "Dream of the Red Chamber", published by Qilu Book Society in 1994, Huang Lin's school point, 120 times.

This set of books, in that era, belonged to the publication of absolute conscience, whether it was binding design or proofreading editing, it was permeated with the feelings of the publisher, but the paper was thin.

At present, the book is out of print, divided into two volumes, illustrated by Dai Dunbang, and the value of two volumes has exceeded 1,000 yuan.

Fortunately, a set was collected a few years ago, and every time I read this book, I was careful, afraid of damage, and regretted it.

However, from the perspective of the detail of the commentary, the best simplified horizontal version of the mainland at present is the "Dream of the Red Chamber of the New Batch".

The four-volume book was published by the Commercial Press in 2014, based on the Cheng Yi edition held by the Library of Beijing Normal University, and annotated with reference to various other editions.

The presiding critic is Professor Zhang Jun of Beijing Normal University, a famous red scholar, which lasted for 15 years, consisting of five parts: the main text, the preface, the appraisal and the annotation, the annotation and the accompanying figure, with a total of more than 10,000 entries and a total word count of about one million, which can be called the most informative appraisal book of "Dream of the Red Chamber" so far.

Here's finally the eight reviews I love.

The full name of this book is "Re-school Eight Schools Commenting on the Dream of the Red Chamber", and the reviser is Feng Qiyong, president of the Chinese Red Society, as a representative figure of the official Red Studies, although he and Zhou Ruchang once had a dispute with "the first person in red studies", which once made me very unhappy, but the book is not guilty.

Based on Cheng Jia's book, the book not only contains almost all the fat reviews, but also includes eight commentaries, including Wang Xilian, Yao Xie, Zhang Xinzhi, Erzhiren, Zhu lian, Tu Ying, Xie Jushi, and Hong Qiufan.

The first edition of the book was originally published by Culture and Art Publishing House in July 1991. Later, Jiangxi Education Publishing House republished in August 2000, changing the title of "Eight Schools Of Re-schools Commenting on the Dream of the Red Chamber".

In April 2015, Qingdao Publishing House revised and published it again, with excellent paper, pen illustrations, red and black two-color printing, and traditional vertical rows.

This should be the best commentary version of "Dream of the Red Chamber" at present.

In addition, Qingdao Publishing House also published Feng Qiyong's appraisal of the Dream of the Red Chamber, that is, "Gua Yan Lou Re-proofreading and Approving the Dream of the Red Chamber", the printing quality and "Re-proofreading the Eight Schools To Evaluate the Dream of the Red Chamber", and the quality of the content of the appraisal is naturally not the same.
