However, just one day before Luo Jun stepped down as president of CUHK, Huake's new president You Zheng investigated the School of Physics, fully affirmed the achievements made by the School of Physics in less than 40 years, and placed high hopes on the development of the School of Physics, hoping that the College would make full use of the three national scientific research platforms of precision gravity measurement, the National Pulse Strong Magnetic Field Science Center, and the Wuhan Optoelectronic National Research Center to carry out basic theoretical research and scientific research breakthroughs to produce world-class innovative results.
Huake School of Physics has made rapid progress in recent years, and was rated as Class A in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, which is closely related to the gravitational research led by Academician Luo Jun in Huake for decades. Although Luo Jun went to CUHK in 2015, his proud protégés all stayed in the gravitational center and precision gravity measurement of the country's major scientific and technological infrastructure that he led to create. When President You Zheng investigated the School of Physics, Ye Chaohui, professor of the college and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and academic leaders from all directions of the college participated, and the person in charge of the gravitational center said on the spot that the gravitational team would further "survey the earth and look at the sky" under the leadership of Academician Luo Jun, deeply study the major scientific problems in the basic frontier, strive to achieve a number of original innovation results, achieve PGMF construction and acceptance with high quality and high standards, and complete the establishment and implementation of the "Lyra II" project.
