At that time, the large households in Pujiang, or the farmers with better harvests in that year, after each autumn harvest, contacted folk craftsmen or "Jingguo Shop" (a handicraft workshop specializing in making pastries and candies in the old days), and then began to select and prepare materials to make Yin rice (glutinous rice is called Yin rice after fermentation, steaming, and cooling to water). During the winter waxing moon before the Spring Festival, it is used for sacrifices and New Year gifts. After the founding of new China, the craftsmen who wandered among the people were organized by the government and began to produce grain flowers in factories, which were named Pujiang rice candy.
