Zhongjiang noodles originated from the Song Dynasty, flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and have a history of more than 1,000 years. The process of making Zhongjiang noodles is cumbersome, and it takes 18 traditional manual processes and 70 small processes to complete a piece of noodles, open noodles, plate strips, fermentation, large strips, small strips, bamboo, flour, drying noodles, etc. A rack of noodles from water and noodles to cut noodles is packaged, generally taking 18-24 hours.
It is precisely because of this that the first batch of Zhongjiang noodles was selected as the intangible cultural heritage protection project of Sichuan Province. And was approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the State as a national geographical indication protection product.
Nowadays, Zhongjiang noodles adopt the model of "company + farmer", unified raw materials, unified formula, unified technology, Zhongjiang handmade noodles industry has developed rapidly to specialization and scale, the production level continues to improve, product quality continues to improve, the product structure is constantly enriched, and the sales channels are increasing. At present, there are 700 noodle producers with an annual output of 3 million kilograms and an annual output value of more than 300 million yuan.
Previously, a batch of Zhongjiang noodles were successfully shipped to the United States under the supervision of Deyang Customs, and the direct export of Zhongjiang noodles achieved a breakthrough of zero.
It is reported that in order to allow Zhongjiang noodles to be smoothly exported to Japan, the exporter sent a special person to be responsible for completing the preliminary negotiations with large food enterprises in Japan. The two sides agreed to make Nakae noodles meet Japan's food requirements while ensuring the quality of traditional intangible cultural heritage handicrafts. After six months of preparation and repeated testing of product ingredients, it finally passed the ultra-high standard testing of food in Japan.
Subsequently, the first batch of 78 pieces of Zhongjiang noodles arrived at the port of Kobe in Japan by sea from Qingdao Port in Shandong Province and entered the food chain supermarket for sale.
Li Ze, general manager of Deyang Jiehui Grain and Oil Co., Ltd. and vice president and secretary general of the Zhongjiang Handmade Noodles Association, told reporters that Japanese people like to eat noodles and prefer to treat noodles as gifts to relatives and friends. The noodles exported to Japan are marked in Japanese on the packaging, which is more convenient for circulation in the Japanese market. The design of The Nakae noodle packaging is rich in local cultural characteristics, which is widely loved by consumers in Japan.
Li Ze said that it is expected that Zhongjiang noodles will sell 80 to 100 tons per year in Japan, mainly in domestic supermarket chains, tourist attractions and some high-end hotels.
Li Ze introduced that in the next step, Zhongjiang handmade noodles will enter high-end restaurants in Japan and be widely publicized on Japanese TV food channels.
