After returning from his studies in the United States in 1926, Xiong Fuxi devoted his life to drama education, successively engaged in theater education in Beijing, Hebei, Sichuan, Shanghai and other places. In the early 1930s, the peasant drama movement he carried out in Dingxian County, Hebei Province, had a very far-reaching impact, and during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the peasants in Dingxian County resisted to the death in the face of powerful invaders, and scholars believe that their awakening consciousness and patriotic feelings were greatly related to the enlightenment and edification of drama. The most brilliant stage of Xiong Foxi's drama education career is in Shanghai. The Shanghai Theater Academy, which came all the way from the Shanghai Municipal Experimental Drama School, gave Xiong Fuxi a wonderful stage for life, and he also left a precious legacy of drama education here. The drama "Xiong Foxi" focuses on the last 16 years of Xiong Fuxi's life, from May 1949, when he led teachers and students to welcome the liberation of Shanghai to his death in October 1965, which is the 16 years in which "Xiong Foxi" completely dedicated his life to the drama and wrote a new chapter in Chinese theater education, while constantly adapting to the new era.
